Some Tiger discs are on Archive.org. For Leopard, the retail installer works fine on these.
thanks, i ask since i might get a powerbook g-4 12: BUT only if the install disc are included, which seems rare nowadays.
seems to me this is not 2008 anymore where oSX discs are available online now.

Rearranging the Titanic's deck chairs. Sorry for the grainyness, the pic was taken with my iPhone 5.

If one didn’t know the two TVs are 4K this pic could have been taken in 2012 :)

Newly-cobbled-together 2011 MBP 15, antiglare HiRes screen, 16GB RAM, 500GB Crucial BX500 SSD, 2.2GHz i7.
The silver bezel on the anti-glares is so nice.

I didn’t even notice them — dwarfed by early Intel Mac awesomeness.
Well, my idea didn't work out too well. I wanted to snap a pic with all the phones and the iPad on my desk with their screens on - which meant using the iPhone 5 rather than my 11 Pro Max. I got what I wanted, but the pic is so grainy because of the iPhone 5 camera that you can't really tell!

LOL at myself. :D

I found the Apple MacBook Pro from 2010 on kleinanzeigen.de near one of my customers. It is a 17 inch Macbook Pro.
Nice! Those are fairly rare.
I installed MacOS 12 Monterey through the OCLP. Monterey runs very well on the Mac.
(This is what happens when I praise someone too soon....)

Replace Monterey with Mojave (DosDude1 installer + patch, or OCLP) carbon-copy-cloned to an HFS+ partition, and it'll run considerably faster and be compatible with faster 32bit software. Use Waterfox, Basilisk, and Chromium-legacy as Safari replacements.

Like, if there are folks on here who get the benefit and advantage of sticking with Mojave (and a companion Linux partition/system for anything demanding more recent security updates, like Signal, certain browsers, and so on), you’re going to find them on this forum. 🙋‍♀️. None of my Macs run anything later than Mojave, and I have Catalina on a VM for sake of testing certain configurations and software.

But slamming or back-handing Nils for what works for them ain’t the way to go about this.

To each, their own way of getting their own work and optimal use settings, yes? There comes a certain humility and even, well, peace of mind in allowing others to find what works best for them (and in ways which bear no negative impact or repercussion on others, much less you).

We good?

I wish I can use only early intel and Mountain Lion and had a nice productive 3 month run of that,
but just modern OS does have some better aspects of computing besides the connivence of airdrop.
which nowadays is watching a TV show or being entertained than programing or designing,
just now I took a photo of my current  set up which was different than Monday.

as far as rubbing those the wrong way here is easy since people get frazzled easier nowadays
as I did trying to explain to someone here that my ssd drive situation which was good
since I can get that replaced and not loses any data, but upsetting for me that broke under a year of use.

this early intel forum is why I type online anymore
since this is a nice comradely, support and respect for each other here.

here is my new  set up, m1 and Monterey as the early Intels as on MacBooks now, since yesterday. tempImagem3g3Un.png

Coffee or tea (or something else) in the mug? And if coffee, what are you drinking?

Starbucks Cafe Verona in mine…

Seattle best coffee via a French Press mechanism

Ah yes. Starbucks for twenty years, but by a different brand name. (Sorry, former Seattlite who remembers Seattle’s Best before Starbucks and, before that, before Popeye’s parent company bought them out.)

And now, they’re a brand of Nestlé (makers of those disposable plastic bottles which get filled with filtered municipal water whilst, simultaneously, exploiting cocoa bean-producing regions).

sorry about using the new Intels aka: the Mac M1s tho.

For the moment, I’m sort of fixated on all the plastic waste Nestle generate — and have the temerity to charge people for the water within — to fret over whether you’re using a Silicon Mac. :D
