Americans and canadians should feel lucky that gas is soooooooooooo cheap. In europe gas is is not $3.50 - $4 a gallon it is nearly $10 a gallon. Wake up guys, quit moaning and appreciate the fact that fuel is so cheap in your part of the world.

As I said earlier in this thread, $4 a gallon is a lot for us. We don't have public transportation like you guys have over there. Where I live I have to drive everywhere I want to go. My job also requires me to drive to my job and have a vehicle that can accommodate my tools and people if need be.

^^ Yupp. My job is a good 20 miles out.

That's 40 miles every day, 5 times a week. 200 miles per week.

At $4 a gallon, with a car getting about 25 mpg, that's 8 gallons a week. $32 a week.

Only to and from work. Add in other places we go to. Hang out with friends, etc. Gas can get expensive..

Plus, the trip takes an hour each way, so AC wasting gas is another problem.

We fill up our Civic every week.

It's more the AC on full :p. And it's an old one (02). When we first got it, it gave over 30mpg. Now that it's starting to show it's age...

First, unless your your sitting in traffic the A/C being on doesn't make that much of a difference.

Second, there's no reason a 2002 vehicle shouldn't be getting it's original gas mileage. My 1999 chevy truck gets the same gas mileage it always has. Sounds like you need to do some maintenance.

Thats a bit low for a Civic even with age...

You should average about 29-32 mpg with a 1.7L I4 engine unless you're flooring the gas pedal at every stoplight.

I just filled up yesterday @ $3.59 / Gallon yesterday. Still expensive as ____.

We do sit in traffic. A lot actually. That's what we get for being in the suburbs of DC. Everyday, it takes us a good hour to drive less than 20 miles.

It does make a difference. I had a 93 acura and you could feel a night and day difference when the AC was on or off. Of course the motor had 228k miles on it so that had some thing do with it. Every I4 car I have ever driven you can feel the power loss with the AC on. With my 97 pathfinder I have now I would never know the AC was on if it weren't for the light on the AC switch, or hearing the compressor clutch engage when the windows are rolled down.

One more spin before the weather turns to bad.:(

Filled to the top 60 Liters cost €102 which is $163.

But once on the road all that is forgotten, as this time machine turns this 63 year old into a teenager.

$9.11 per US gallon here in Holland.
Filled my Audi Q5 up for $165 yesterday.

I think people in the US are in paradise as far as the prices of gas (and Apple products) goes!

At this moment, premium at the station I use is $4.04/gal - the lowest it's been in months.

But around here, wait 10 minutes and it goes up. I drive to work in the morning and it's one price, and driving home in the afternoon it's up 4-5 cents. This happens almost daily. :(

Of course, I could be driving a car that uses regular, and that doesn't turn into every gas station that it passes on it's own. :p

Y'all should have stocked up on your silver dimes and you'd be enjoying very cheap gasoline these days, says Ron Paul. :p

In Sweden the petrol prices are about 14 SEK per litre.

Maybe not 100% correct but 14 SEK is currently about 2 USD

So google tells me that 1 gallon is 3,785 litres that means the petrol price is about 53 SEK per gallon = 7,58 USD.

Where I am, New York has better public transportation than back in the UK. Also earning more money than in the UK, so the $3.65-$4.00 per gallon is really refreshing for me!
