Epiphone Les Paul Special II, custom made by her fiancee... sounds hell of a lot better then my Fender Starcaster. I freaking love it.

^^ awesome! :)

That's a nice looking guitar. I've seen some custom-made jobs that are really grotesque looking. That looks like a professional made it.

Got this yesterday for free.. but it's VERY broken. I plan to restore it to full working order myself :) Never done any sort of electronics before, but with help from the internets, I shall prevail!

I put a kill switch inside my strat a while back, so I know roughly how the inside of guitars work (Well, I'm not quite sure with Les Paul style guitars, but I can work it out)

No idea what brand it is, but it's made in Japan. Has nothing else written on it at all. I reckon the truss rod cover has been replaced (It has been broken and repaired before, apparently)... So this guitar shall forever remain a mystery for me. But it'll be worth getting it fixed. I reckon it will cost about £90 (Depending on the pick-ups) to get the bare essentials sorted... which is much cheaper than buy a new LP style guitar (all the ones I've seen are about £250)

A nice summer project for me :)

how do you like the HH? its like the king of basses. im gonna buy one this summer

Great tonal range, smooth neck. Good weight. All around great bass.

Out of those 4, the Musicman, and the double buck warwick corvette have the greatest tonal range right on the bass.

Though, i keep picking up my 5 string thumb, there is just something about that bass that i love to death.

Les Paul Standard. Taken from Gibson site. Mine's a lefty.

Good man.

Here's my new favorite axe, a Fender American Standard Strat.

I actually prefer it to my Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul! You can see that guitar earlier in this thread.

She's got Lindy Fralin Pickups and RS Guitarworks electronics.

You can see some of my other stuff at my Flickr page in my sig. Still need to take shots of my new amp - a Dr. Z Z28 head and Dr. Z 1x12 Cab.

Best. Amp. Ever.

Ahhhhh! Dr. Z amps are amazing!

I played a galaxy combo at a guitar shop back in Austin, and it was incredible. I couldn't much enjoy it, though, because the shop owner was staring me down. I suppose he knew I wasn't in the Dr. Z market.

But either way -- nice setup :]

Probably one of the few guitars actually owned by the poster. I've never seen so many pictures clearly taken from the Internet.

If someone asks to see YOUR guitar, why would you post a picture obtained from a search engine?

Thanks a lot! I love my Dr. Z. We bonded immediately. I plugged my Strat into it, played a little pentatonic riff in E, and was hooked.

I really need to get off my doff and take some nice shots of it to bring my little Flickr page up to date.

When I hit the Klon in front of it.........yeah. Best tone I've ever had, by far.

Maybe he'd heard "Stairway to Heaven" butchered one too many times that afternoon?

thanks man, don't be jealous hehe..... it's one hell of an amp, I love it! Got the Einstein because honestly i was the cheaper one and at the time I couldn't afford any of the other two (Herbert and VH4) but I love this little guy to death...don't regret getting it one bit.

The only 'kind of' let down is the channels switching......channel one has 3 modes (mode 1 is clean, mode 2 goes from clean with alittle breakup to marshall plexi vibe, and mode 3 starts where mode 2 left off and goes all the way to metal) and you got channel 2 then which is more tight/compressed and has tons of gain. So the problem lies in channel 1....the modes are not footswitchables, so if you're playing live you only have two channels. There's a mod that can be done to the amp where you can make the modes in channel 1 switchable, but there's a slight problem with volume between modes....if you got the desired volume set in mode 1, when you switch to mode 2 the volumes get much louder, and even MORE loud in mode 3....so this would suck live.....but at least you have the guitar volume knob to "tame it".

Anyways, there are ways around this too, it's a GREAT amp, and I'd keep it for ever.....but next year I'll probably sell it and get a VH4 which is more versatile (it's got 4 channels and it's midi programable) But Tone-wise the Einstein is a MACHINE!

you can listen to a clip I made using only the Einstein here:

Some blues:

The ME-50....it's GREAT....some things could sound better of course, but I like the easiness of it.....and the analog knobs LOVE THEM....I'm not much into digital programable things (I can do it, but it takes a while to REALLY set what you want) I had a Pod XT live and sold it a month after I got it because of all the useless junk it has....some pretty nice fx, but just TOO MUCH stuff. Got the ME-50 afterwards and I'm happy.

I have that same Framus Cabinet! Unfortunately without the Diezel Head :p. Just a Marshall DSL401 here. The guitar is a 70's Reissue Stratocaster - but with custom HSH pickups & pickguard, Floyd Rose Bridge & on/off switch instead of that 2nd tone knob!

img0330ju3.jpg

Pickups - SD Distortion Neck & SD JB' Bridge, stock Fender middle.
Very Mick Mars influenced :)

PS - love the Mayer Strat, Joeytpg
