I just jizzed my pants.Meet Seximus Maximus.
So yeah, My 4th Electric Bass. Its a frankenstein between a fender Aerodyne and a Geddy Lee. Probably the sweetest combination known to mankind. Added some vinyls to pimp it to the extreme.

My complete setup an some detail shoots:
Gibson Standard Les Paul, Marshall JCM602, lots of effects
Niiice.
Do you ever get tired playing a Les Paul for extended periods of time? I always found them heavy, cumbersome and awkward. Definitely a Telecaster man myself.
I've just started to learn guitar.
I much prefer singing.
mine.
Sorry in advance for the crappy pictures...just saw this thread and wanted to throw something up here.
I'm got an American Deluxe Strat, SSH with LSR nut. I replaced the stock bridge pickup with a DiMarzio Evolution, so now it's nice and hot
I admittedly don't play as much as I should...perhaps this thread will inspire me!
How does the evolution sound vs. the stock Fender humbucker? Was the Fender humbucker similar to a PAF or was it hotter (with ceramic magnets like a DiMarzio distortion humbucker?). I have a metal guitar I thought about using evolutions with. It came stock with some slightly hotter than PAF EMG-HZs and I ditched the idea of going active, and played with the idea of just a hotter passive pickup like the evolution, PAF Joe, or Duncan JB.
I spent ten years as mostly a Telecaster player from a Squier, to a Fernandez copy, to a couple of vintage Fenders ('65, '68), and I loved them all. Right now the two guitars I have sport dual humbuckers and it's really not me at all. Telecasters, like Rickenbackers and Gretsch hollowbodies, have a smaller, yet incredibly loyal fan base. I have had the strats, Les Pauls, and double locking trem superstrats, but the Tele is what I always feel most comfortable with.
i absolutely love telecasters. i've owned les pauls, a few hamers, an ibanez or two, but i always come back to the tele. i'm thinking about picking up the jim root version with two humbuckers to go with the one i have now, kinda best of both worlds, with the same feel.
I'm honestly not sure what a PAF sounds like compared to this, but I really do like this pickup. The Fender one wasn't all that how. This one allows me to get the more "nasally" tone I was looking for, if that makes sense.
