Nice! Are they comfy? :D I got the special edition blue color.

As you can see i went with the standard black ;) Yes they are really comfy! Have been wearing them since they arrived for 4h straight, no issues!
I guess they even get better when the cushions get some breaking in over the time!

i have m50's that i wear to the gym when i do weights and run...i wear a hoody so i don't sweat on them...wish they made some waterproof ones for swimming laps:D

Hey hey, I'm also using the ATH-M50x.

1st ever pair of real headphones

Yesterday was traveling through the airport on the way home and called in to the electrical store with the intention of buying a pair of Zik Parrot's as the price has recently dropped, and being a bit of a geek, the technology in them appealed to me.

However, I'd also recently tried on a pair of Bowers & Wilkins P7's as well.

After a 15 minute conversation with the salesman I left with the P7's.

Never having had a decent pair of headphones myself, all I can compare them with are the Beats that my son has, but what I can say is - WOW!!

Listened to some music on the plane back yesterday, and it was a turbo prop, and needless to say I was sat near the wing, but without blasting my eardrums out of the side of my head I was able to clearly listen to music without any outside noise intruding. In fact I had to be tapped on the shoulder by the flight crew to let me know I should be turning things off ready for the landing :)

Sat here now exploring some wonderful classical music on iTunes that I wouldn't normally listen to - and it's a pleasure.

I guess this now begs the question as to what I should do for a more convenient connection point on my desktop for the iMac - don't fancy having to keep fiddling around at the back trying to plug in the headphones - a nice little socket on the desktop would be preferable - anyone any suggestions?

You could just get a 3.5mm male to female extension cable or you could pick up a USB DAC and improve the sound quality while you are at it.

cans.jpg

Well my M-100's arrived a week ago so i thought i was post a pic of my cans. On the left are my V-Moda M-100's, in the centre are my V-Sonic GR07 BE's and on the right are my Hifiman HE-400's.

Between them i have all bases covered, the M-100's are my fun sounding bassy cans, the V-Sonics are my all rounder IEMS with a very slight emphasis in the bass region for when im on the move and the HE-400's are for when im at my listening station and want the best possible reproduction of the original source.

I am a huge fan of the Bowers & Wilkins headphones.

For the past three years, I have had the P5s (which I use for travelling, and I travel a lot); they are easily the most comfortable, and best quality portable headphone I have ever had. More recently, I bought the P7s for use at home; both are superb.

In any case, enjoy the P7s, and I expect that you will derive enormous pleasure from them.

Wondering what people think about the Bose oe2 and ae2 headphones?
Both are currently under $100 on amazon and I was thinking about getting a pair to upgrade from the apple headphones I'm currently using.

I like a little extra bass but other than that I'm just looking for overall better sound quality.
Considering there's only a $10 price difference are the ae2 any better besides covering the ear?

Also, any other recommendations for a pair under $100?
