So torn on finally taking the plunge on them but havent found them on sale as of yet to do so.

Have been leaning between these and the QC35 but LOVE the seamless Apple item integration which is huge for me. How have you found the sound quality in your opinion.

Compared to version 1 there's more 'balance' hence there's more parity with the QC and Sony cans. Still a little bass heavy but not as crazy as previous editions. The W1 chip is very nifty if you use Apple devices and takes away the hassle and clunkiness of pairing.

Basically audio is very good for an ANC headphone but its not class leading. But far from bad or mediocre. Noise cancellation is still not as good as Bose's, but then again, none of the others are either.

Bose is probably the better overall performer in terms of comfort and audio/ANC. But Beats is a solid performer...just a shame they didn't update the design.

This review might help you decide. He has a review of the QC35 too both with audio sampling.

Excellent thanks so much for the insight. I hope they go on sale soon and will take the plunge.

Sadly my beats pros were stolen out of my car do to me being stupid and not locking my car in my own drivewayh and my deductible is the same price as the headphones but the thing also s my moms car was beside me its a new 2017 and if u use the handles entry for the back hatch it does not relock so her car was got into too and they stole her owners manual and car registration

I have a set of Studio3's that replaced my stolen QC35's. While I think the Bose are good at the time there were very specific reasons I didn't like them as much as the price tag should have

Overall I like them and would recommend them as a good all-in-one sort of replacement.

For me they fall between my AirPods and HD650's. They fill a gap between discreet and maximizing audio fidelity. Generally I use them with NC off because I want to hear my environment but on the occasions I don't care like on a plane it works well enough.

Sound quality its on par with other bluetooth noise cancelling headphones. While some of the competitors might be better here and there they isn't a stark and obvious difference like when comparing these and competing products (1000X-MT, GC35's, etc) to a set of PM-1's connected to high end equipment.

For the person with all the Apple products looking to fill a gap or just need NC wireless headphones these (AirPods, Studio3) are great. If you use Android primarily I would recommend the Google earbuds, Sony 1000X-MT (for Aptx) and your choice of open backs based on the equipment it would be used on.

Currently rocking Sony 1000XM2 bluetooth/wired headphones. Received them as an X-mas present and have been using them almost nonstop. They even sound better than my Bose QC35's. Even better noise cancellation than the bose's as well.

Well the HD6XX is essentially the HD650. I've heard that the 600 is more neutral than the 650/6XX.

Correct, ive owned both of them but decided to sell the HD650 because they’re very simular.
The 600 is indeed more neutral, the 650 has a warmer sound. The bass is also a little more pronounced.

So you prefer the 600 over the 650? I haven't heard either one as I'm still waiting on the HD6XX (650) to arrive.

A friend reminded me that those who bought the B&W P9’s receive a free lightening cable with a built in DAC. He posted this;

“Finally received the (free) new lightning cable. Has a built in dac/amp and anyone that previously auditioned these my want to give them another go.
Wow! They just got even better! I never had an issue with the muddy bass that some refer to but sounds a lot clearer with better mids.

There is also a new B&W app on the iOS App Store that supports the P9 now but appears to be for future updates and not any additional tweaking. At least not at this stage.

I normally use my Mojo with them and my iPhone but to be honest will probably just go with the cable now.”

Also ordered mine. Can’t wait!

After comparing these to the Bose QC-35s side by side in my local Best Buy, I requested a pair of the Sony's for Christmas too (and my lovely wife complied). I was blown away by how much better the noise reduction of these seemed (to me anyway). So far - love them.

Picked up these babies today. Decided to be a little bold, went with the soft gold color.

How do you find these? Have been looking for a pair of wireless noise-cancelling headphones for my commute, I love AirPods for the convenience they provide but I notice I have to have them at volume levels which probably aren't that conducive to keeping my hearing in twenty years' time...

I've used P3s a couple of years ago but found them pretty uncomfortable pinning my ears back. Can't seem to tell if these are on-ear or over-ear.

Got mine today.

Gorgeous. Well wear and do enjoy using them.

In any case, I shall read your review with interest.

As you know, I love the headphones made by this company, (and already have the P5s, and P7s) but haven't had the pleasure of trying (or even seeing them in the wild or in a shop, when I would have sampled them) the P9s.

I love them and they are the best headphones I’ve ever used.

The only place I’ve seen them is in Selfridges on Oxford Street. When next in London you should try and pay a visit. Try them out.

Sold off most of my high end stuff. This is all I have left (that isn't wireless).

Ah yes, those Grados. They look like crud and are not particularly comfortable, but they are they only kind of headphones that I could ever consider a serious competitor to speakers. They sound oh so alive. Don't even mention those Senns, B&Ws, B&Os and all those other mud machines to me...

Wait, there is one other kind of cans I would own if I had to, electrostats of Stax SR Lambda Signature calibre.

At the moment my go tos are my Beats Studio 3's.

You won't get me back on wired headphones for a while. It is about convenience first, comfort and then SQ. These check all of the boxes for me.
