I picked up a pair of Blue Satellites a few weeks ago and they're absolutely fantastic.

Got a pair of Jaybird Runs. They are surprisingly good. They don't move in my ears and don't cause much ear soreness when I wear them for a while. The only issue I have is that they don't auto stop music when I take one out and then sometimes don't come on right away when I take them out of the case. Oh, and the case could do with being a different shape that's more pocket friendly.

Got a pair of these yesterday. Great sound, great fit, great size. Not amazing battery life. But still happy with them.

As I already have Jaybird Bluebuds X and X2s I had considered the X3s. But the size of the freedoms are what convinced me. Plus, they didn't have black X3s in stock.

Ok, I’ve used these quite a bit over the last few days and am very impressed with their quality and their fit and would definitely recommend them.

I’ll be travelling overseas soon and so I had thought about how useless these will be when not charged. However, as they can take a battery pack, I will look at getting a second one and so I can always have one fully charged. Basically, that gives them the edge over other Bluetooth earphones that only offer a charging case. The noise cancellation will be most welcome when flying long haul.

Hey you two ... I've heard good things about music sound quality with these, along with water resistance for use in the gym - my primary use along with using them everywhere.

Can either of you comment on sound quality from the microphones to another party on a phone call when outside near heavy traffic on the street? Busy noisy mall chatter, construction site etc?

of all the years I've used Bluetooth headphones ... NON get any 'decent' voice quality during a phone call when heard by the other party. I always hear "you sound so far away so I cannot hear you" or "I can't hear you" (without a real deception which is super frustrating) ... "Hello ... Hello ... [click]". AirPods don't seem to suffer microphone quality on voice calls on iPhone / Watch ... yet I'll not get isolation for music that I prefer with in-ear headphones. Likewise I'm still investigating a good fit option as well as waiting 4mths to get them in Black from Colourware.

Any decent feedback would be helpful.
- I'm considering the B&O E8's but holding off.

I like the way you quoted me twice. Unfortunately I can’t really advise on the quality of the microphone as I hardly use it in either the freedoms or the Jaybird Runs.

I have a set of Studio3's that replaced my stolen QC35's. While I think the Bose are good at the time there were very specific reasons I didn't like them as much as the price tag should have

Overall I like them and would recommend them as a good all-in-one sort of replacement.

For me they fall between my AirPods and HD650's. They fill a gap between discreet and maximizing audio fidelity. Generally I use them with NC off because I want to hear my environment but on the occasions I don't care like on a plane it works well enough.

Sound quality its on par with other bluetooth noise cancelling headphones. While some of the competitors might be better here and there they isn't a stark and obvious difference like when comparing these and competing products (1000X-MT, GC35's, etc) to a set of PM-1's connected to high end equipment.

For the person with all the Apple products looking to fill a gap or just need NC wireless headphones these (AirPods, Studio3) are great. If you use Android primarily I would recommend the Google earbuds, Sony 1000X-MT (for Aptx) and your choice of open backs based on the equipment it would be used on.
Currently using the airpods and studio3's myself. No real complaints from either.

oh man I thought I quoted 2 different people on my iPhone 7 ... my mistake. Hoping to get good feedback on microphone quality.

PS: even more weird my auto complete custom for "IP7" just turned to iPhone 7 (which was created on iPhone yet on macOS did the change. Very cool!!

AirPods, P7 Wireless and P9 w/ Lightning cable. My first choice is honestly the P7w. I also have some HD650's at the office. I tried the PX and honestly didn't feel they were worth the hassle vs the P7 Wireless.

I sold my P7’s (not wireless) and bought the P9’s. Best sounding headphones I’ve ever owned. Just wish B&W would bring out some wireless in ears. Currently using the Bose SoundSport Free.

Ah, so you sold the P7s, and are still enamoured of the P9s? This is what I want to hear........

Yes, they are the best headphones I’ve ever owned. B&W also recently sent me a free lightening cable for use with my iPhone. It has a built in day/amp and now they’re even better!

Thoroughly recommended.

Okay: Over a year ago, I gave my P7s to one of my two brothers - his wife is a teacher and wished to record some classes - so I can think about a purchase of the P9s without guilt.

I suppose this thread is more for showing existing gear, but I see a decent amount of headphone chat, so figured I'd post this here (the headphone discussion thread in another area didn't have much traffic).

Anyway ... :)

My next headphone gear I'm considering are Beyerdynamic DT 880 in 250ohm, Premium (vs. Pro) , with a Schiit Magni 3 headphone amp and a Modi 2 Uber - maybe a Vali 2, get a little tube flavor (it's a hybrid SS/tube). My [digital] music source is mostly my MBP (some FLAC), so I suppose I could just go with the USB Modi 2, _but_ I'm thinking for the extra $50 for the Uber, the added flexibility of the Coax and TOSLink - or potentially better connection mechanism to the MBP (TOS/Min-TOS via the headphone jack) - is probably worth it[?]

I had a pair of B&W PX headphones for a few weeks earlier in the year, but ended up returning them. The reviews emphasised the great sound quality, but I honestly found it muddy and vocals were hidden and sometimes almost painful to listen to. The ANC also murdered the sound quality, but that is maybe to be expected.

Maybe they were defective? I wanted to love them, the design and feel were amazing. I found them comfortable too, but they seemed to split opinion on that topic.

I will probably need a pair of over-ears in the Summer, working during my holidays for 10 weeks which involves an almost 2 hour commute each way per day, and AirPods really don't cut it on noisy public transport. Looking at trying the PX again, the Bose QC35 II, or B&O H8i. Would appreciate any other recommendations!

I currently own both the BeoPlay H7 and H9. I have deliberately avoided the H8 because they are on-ear which I find less comfortable when wearing them for longer periods of time compared to over-ear.

Furthermore I found the H8 to be too bass-heavy, but that is a personal preference and I haven't heard the H8i. They might have done something different in those.

My favorite pair is definitely the H9. The leather is a higher quality than the H7 and the sound quality is just a level above.

I have (and love) the B&W P9’s but for commuting I’d personally go for the Bose. Super comfortable and great noise cancelling.

Here's the thing: Recently, (because I work abroad, and my original P5s - which are around six or seven years old, and have already been repaired - the drivers - at least once by B&W, and I could see that they - used regularly, were getting a bit battered), I bought another pair of P5s.

Unfortunately, they no longer make the old (wonderful) non-wireless models, but the kindly sales assistant told me that I could simply use them as ordinary non-wireless headphones, (because they came complete with a cable) without downloading the relevant app or switching on the relevant button.

And that is what I do; they spend their time attached to my Astell & Kern SP 1000, (or, sometimes, my iPod Touch) and are excellent.

Mind you, the appearance of the B&W PX is simply stunning.

I was considering the wireless P5’s but read somewhere that they weren’t as good as the original wired ones? So they sound as good then?

Actually, - and I am using them as a wired product, all those peripherals have been turned off - pretty much, yes, they are.

Those gold PX's do look amazing; I think I am smitten already.

Me too. They look gorgeous. Let’s just say “they’re in my basket”......
