Mine isn't too exciting -- a couple widgets on the first page, a couple more on the second, and frequently used apps sprinkled throughout. I like using the widgets to push the apps down to thumb's reach on my XS Max. Here's a video of the two screens.

Not visible in the screenshot, but I'm loving stacked widgets and can't wait for 3rd party widgets to arrive.

Look at all that wasted space in the weather widget. Eek!

Speaking of the weather widget, does anyone else think they should show the 5 day forecast instead of the hourly forecast? I live in SoCal, so the weather doesn't change a lot, but I've lived in Miami where it does and I'd still rather not have the hourly weather shown there. Am I alone on that?

I decided to do one screen with Shortcuts only and the second with some quick access stuff - yet big fan of Widgets

1 page, easy access

i miss the JB days, tho... i'd have current weather on the lockscreen (AND in the top bar); no text under widgets, no sounds before siri answers, etc. etc........

Single page, Big Sur theme, loving the icons on the right hand thumb reachable side only and the live analog clock out there as a mini widget

There is an API.

Can we already use the new homescreen widgets from third parties in the current iOS14 beta or will these become available just before the official release of iOS14 somewhere in September? If so is there somewhere already a list of apps that already support it? I also wonder if we can use existing 'old' widgets from third parties on the home screens as well or only on the old location.

Most definitely a widget I’ll use without any doubt in my mind.

Me too, I will just still stick it in the regular widget section, not on the home screen. 🖐

Looks cool and all but I am so used to where my apps are by habit over the years. I just had to remove them again

Similar here. I think I will just populate the usual Widget section with all sorts of widget blocks of different sizes and be done with it. Exciting stuff...

off topic, but so many people using the outlook app blows my mind. It takes like 2 seconds to open every other time on an iphone 11 pro, how can you possibly use that??

That's right. The Weather app's icon should have changed depending on the forecast since the very beginning, as the Calendar's does with the date.
Now that we have homescreen widgets I agree. Previously though, here's a big difference between the calendar icon being able to change a number once every 24 hours based on information local to the phone (date/time) compared to a weather app that would need to ping the weather.com server every few minutes to get an update.

I'm no developer, but in my mind changing the app icon say once every 6 hours doesn't look so intensive.
