Anyone coming from a 13/13 mini who can give a real world comparison re: photo quality/expectations?
It is cheaper from Amazon UK, ÂŁ24.99 vs ÂŁ34.99 on the official site.
Right on. I've tried dabbling with mine after picking it up last week, but I can't commit just yet. The width is throwing me off big time.Comparable. In good lighting the 16e should be better almost all of the time. In low to medium lighting it will be a bit more of a mixed bag. The higher megapixels help a bit, but moreso in good lighting than poor lightning.
My house has two 13's and a 13 Mini. I used the Mini for awhile and I've had the 16e for a few days now.
eSIM is pretty cool most of the time. It’s just like a virtual SIM card, so you can have more than 1 at a time in less space.Really have no idea why people are complaining and ragging on this phone. If you don't like it don't buy it. I don't use Magsafe, never used it, honestly never even knew it existed until I heard everyone complaining about it.
I may very well buy the 16e once I can figure out how a stupid eSim works.
It doesn't seem to be cool at all as I am struggling a lot trying to find out how the setup process goes.eSIM is pretty cool most of the time. It’s just like a virtual SIM card, so you can have more than 1 at a time in less space.
16e is great so far! Very light feeling, the cameras are good, the hand feel of the edges and back glass is very nice, the buttons are very clicky, and when you put it in the Apple case it lays flat on the table. I got black.
The rear camera is larger than the XR so it does rock if you press the left side without a case. The pictures are better than I expected. Especially in situations like where you are taking a picture of someone in the shade with bright sunlight illuminating the scene behind them.
If Apple didn't make a one camera phone, the two cameras I would want are normal and telephoto. Ultra wide is like the most useless imo, so the normal iPhone 16 is just not anything I want.
Fast charging is fast. Like 30 minutes from 5% to 50%, or from 40% to 80%.
The speakers are loud. I didn't expect that. Were other phones this loud?
I don't know what else to say. It's like the classic iPhone but updated. I'll probably get into the AI stuff later.
My battery said made in December and arrived 92% charged.
Are you moving from physical sim to esim?It doesn't seem to be cool at all as I am struggling a lot trying to find out how the setup process goes.
Some people don't need Pro Max phones. If they want a 16e, then it's their money. Let them enjoy their purchase. There is no way someone actually bought it 🤣🤣 ya’ll can’t think as soon as you see the logo smh
I've had every iteration of the Pro since the 13 line, and I always revert to my 13 mini. Now trying to make the move to the 16e and it's been fantastic for my needs. Some of us just don't need Pro features or a brick in our pockets. There is no way someone actually bought it 🤣🤣 ya’ll can’t think as soon as you see the logo smh
What are you talking about?? The XR had a 12 MP sensor. The 16e is the same current 48 MP sensor. They may make the camera look bigger, but the sensor size is same as XR
Awesome! People like you are the targeted audience more so I think.Bearing in mind I’ve been using an iPhone 8 recently, first impressions of the 16e are great!
Came out of the box with 82% on the battery and after set up, sorting apps and having a play etc it’s down to 70%. It’s barely dropping now things are settling down.
It all feels very fast & fluid after living with the iPhone 8!
Loving it! Just under 2 months with the iPhone 8, I did have a 15 Pro until I managed to kill it lol I’ve got AppleCare now with my 16e!Awesome! People like you are the targeted audience more so I think.
Would you not just use the Transfer feature in iOS? I went from physical to eSIM and all I did was use the transfer phone feature. It set up the carrier stuff over the air.It doesn't seem to be cool at all as I am struggling a lot trying to find out how the setup process goes.
Does that involve calling the carrier, etc? Remember, I do not have an account with my carrier.Would you not just use the Transfer feature in iOS? I went from physical to eSIM and all I did was use the transfer phone feature. It set up the carrier stuff over the air.
It’s like the iPhone 12 main camera with double the resolution (in both dimensions, making for four times the pixel count): https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-iphone-xr-back-in-2018.2451190/post-33773006What are you talking about?? Don't know why you think it's like the iPhone 12 when it is literally the sensor from the 16 ultra wide camera with a new 2 part lens. It’s like the iPhone 12 main camera with double the resolution (in both dimensions, making for four times the pixel count): https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...-iphone-xr-back-in-2018.2451190/post-33773006
I'm not sure what you mean by calling the carrier here.Does that involve calling the carrier, etc? Remember, I do not have an account with my carrier.
An eSIM profile is a file (containing similar data that a physical SIM would) that you download from your carrier and that is then coupled to your phone. Your carrier may provide you a link to the eSIM with a QR code, or may require you to use their app. In any case, your carrier must first create the eSIM profile for you, which means you have to contact your carrier to have them do this. Since you don’t have an account with them, you either have to visit a physical store of your carrier, or maybe you can call them and have them send a letter to you with a printed QR code. The details depend on the carrier. They probably have a website detailing the options.Does that involve calling the carrier, etc? Remember, I do not have an account with my carrier.
