My new TV!

And I just made the most amazing discovery in the world! I actually have 5 HD channels! I'm so excited right now, I though my cable company was crappy, these channels just came out of nowhere! Oh and I love my TV! Now that's a lot of exclamation points!

Are you in the US? My roommate found a few HD channels without even having a cable hooked up to his new HDTV. A few of the big networks out of Salt Lake City broadcast in HD and we pick it up 80 miles away. I wonder if that may be the case with you?

That must be the case. I do have cable hooked up to it, but no box or anything. My cable definitely doesn't have HD so I must just be picking some channels up from Omaha, NE I guess. It's very nice though!

Have you had any experience with west elm products? Are they a lot better than ikea stuff? Seem somewhat expensive.

CFLs and a bus pass. Hooray!

Good job. Every little bit helps. I've had the same CFL bulbs for 4 or 5 years. When I move, I put the original incandescents back in the fixtures.

It will be nice when LEDs get to the quality and price of the CFL bulbs, since it's another factor of 5 or so in savings (wattage wise).

Since I've switched to CFLs, and use my Mini almost exclusively, I've dropped my electricity bill to under $18.00 a month.

When I buy a house again it will go down, since I will have control over the appliances. The ones in my apartment are not efficient at all.

Well, if you think Steve Jobs is a liar, that's up to you. My bet is he knows more than you about it.

I advice you to take your own advice and stop being over protective of your purchase.

I've owned several and used many. It doesn't take a genius to work out that one is made of cheap crappy plastic and one is made out of aircraft grade aluminium.

Like I said, I've owned and used several. 2005, 2405 and even lower end dell displays, which really are poor.

Better ergonomics? I'd love you to back that up.

More inputs is about the only thing it has over the ACD. Not that it's important for most Mac users.

Isn't it funny how you bashed on Dell's monitors but yet you used their displays? Not 1, 2 but it seems like you have used a lot of Dell's monitors. How ironic is that? Dell's ultrasharp monitors are superior over ACD, except for the design part. Only apple fan boys would pay that much for an ACD.

Does anyone now if i can make Aperture 1 monitor a folder for new images and import them as they as appear?

It's very nice stuff, on a totally different level than Ikea. West Elm is much, much higher quality.

And I say that as a fan of Ikea, I have several pieces in my house.
