Yeah, ours in Carlisle is pretty much the same, not too bad though. The one in Newcastle is good as well, I'm sure it's more expensive though.

Haha, I got 2.1 Z2300 and I am even scared to put volume above 20%, cause they are extremely loud. You should duck tape your furniture so it won't move around.

Same. I got the Z-2300 around August last year, 2 weeks went by and from blasting them at 50-60% I blew one speaker. So then I ordered two Klipsh ProMedia Satellites of eBay. I've never turned the volume up past 70%, and after a few months the left speaker started to static, but when turning them up it was normal.
Now at any volume is statics, and below 20% you can't hear anything at all, and the static was like someones nails on a chalkboard while i was trying to listen to chill music. So it pissed me off to the Max. The Sub is stilll holding strong though. So now, these are my replacements. I've gotten so many noise complaints before I switched dorms but I wont blast them cause I respect I neighbors. They all dont care but i tell them if its too loud to let me know.
I want to punch my dorm neighbor. I have proper British-built standmount speakers that rape any PC-speaker setup, but at least I have respect for my neighbors.
How do these speakers connect to a macbook, or can they only connect to a soundcard with 5.1 output? Sorry, i'm new to this, and looking into speakers at the moment

Exactly, what can a Chumby do that my iPhone can't? And it's about 20x the size too.
I was watching the video describing what it is, and I paused my iTunes to listen, and I heard Car Talk (car repair radio show) and I was like, "WTF? I paused iTunes." That was funny.
