No offense intended you two, but the people I've seen with leathermans are the LEAST technically inclined. (and therefore shouldn't have one)

I know this does not apply to all, but I worked with someone who ALWAYS bragged about how he and his leatherman could do anything. (it got old, fast) Then he proceeded to destroy a $350,000 laser with one - and that solidified it for me.

True story.

well I wouldnt consider myself that type of guy... but this is just a nice tool too have around.

It really is just a knife,screwdriver,pliers/wire cutter, bottle opener... pretty simple compared to come of the other leatherman and gerber tools... I think this one just looks 100x better

My father & uncle always had Leathermans (or should that be Leathermen?) & I have a Leatherman Mini on my keys, but about 5 years back my father gave me a Gerber CompactSport & I have to say I much prefer it to the equivalent Leatherman, mainly because of the single-hand opening of the pliers - all it takes is a quick squeeze to the nubs on either side of the body & the pliers slide into position. That & it has locks on all the tools, I get ridiculously paranoid with non-locking knives now, since I started using almost nothing but locking knives! Pity that makes it technically illegal to carry in the UK most of the time...

I got a new 120GB iPod Classic black. I bought it at CircuitCity using the last of my gift cards that I had. I had it over nighted. I love the way my iPhone headset works with it and the button on the headset works exactly the way it does on the iPhone. It pauses, plays and skips tracks using the button.

I already own a silver 160GB Classic but since my Pioneer car stereo plays the iPod directly on it's screen where I can control the iPod from the stereos screen, I keep that it my car and this one will be used for home and work.

Thanks. I've been getting some of my early christmas shopping out of the way. It's one of the things that I really wanted to get for someone but it's too expensive in retail. I also bought my mom some Williams-Sonoma cookbooks from B&N that are normally $35-$60, and at BN they are $30 max. Now it's store shopping.

Thank you, AppleCare.
My iMac (Core Duo, 17 inch, 1.83GHz, 1GB RAM) needed a repair for the 8th time. I've treated it with care but it still manages to need repairs. I called AppleCare because I couldn't take it anymore. They gave me a new 2.4 GHz 20 inch iMac!
