Panasonic Lumix LX3

Would have liked to buy it in black, but the best price I found was still €50 more than what I paid for the silver model. What gives?!

I've had mine for a few months now. I had ordered it in black and was prepared to wait (they hadn't arrived in the US yet), but the people I bought it from arbitrarily sent the silver to everyone regardless of the color they ordered (they apparently didn't want to inconvenience anyone with a long wait time). I was pretty cheesed. "Well, if the black units come in within 14 days, return your silver one and we'll send you a black one." What rubbish.

I love the camera though. F/2.0 and 24mm lens makes me happy. Great screen too.

Wonderful! I got mine back in november and I love it. How do you like yours?

Well it shipped today so I'll have it on Friday... it's going to be a loooonggggg week...

Having used an original Digital Rebel and Rebel XT extensively, I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in heaven with the 50D. It will be interesting to see how the 18-200mm does. Reviews seem to be good for what it is.

Why didnt you get a 16gb sd card? trust me you will need more space with that slr. I have 2 16gb cards for my nikon, try amazon.

I considered two 4GB's or two 8GB's but I was advised not to go above 8 due to the time it takes to read and write (So my mate an the guy at jessops told me) but they could be lyng! I will be happy with that when it arrives I'm just excited to start learning, I also just got a 55-200mm lens off ebay

Panasonic have taken the Apple pricing model

Good choice with the LX3 basically the same camera as the Leica D-Lux 4 but a little cheaper.

I am thinking about buying one too for those instances where it is impractical to take my Canon DSLR with me.

I dropped it awhile ago and people weren't able to hear me, since like mid/early December... Like right after Richie... I thought I told you. Anyways, I was using my other Nokia which has may battle scars and decided to treat myself because of the crap I have going on right now.

I purchased a round trip ticket to D.C. from Burlington, VT for $128. I'm going down to visit a friend at the end of February. Not a bad deal at all, but it could have been about $20 cheaper if I had bought it before the New Years.
