Once you get some use out of those let me know how well they work. I'm thinking of getting the X2 Wireless version but I'm not too sure. I'm looking for headphones that allow you to control the volume of the speech and the volume of the game independently.
Every other headset I have seen out there just plays them all at the same volume and not every game has an adjustment for it.
The TRITTON headset looks really promising though, those things are SLICK!
The Turtle Beach headset is my first one ever so I can't compare them to anything else. But, from what I've experienced I don't know how I ever played video games without a headset. They do intensify the gaming experience.
The headset is equipped with two volume controls, one for game sound and the other for speech (speech volume is for how loud you want your friends/teammates to hear you. You can't hear your voice through the headset).
The only negative thing I have about the Turtle Beach headset is the cable that connects to the controller to the amplifier for speech. It seems quite flimsy or too pliable and maybe the cause of people losing the speech function of the headset over time of use. Another negative point, and it really isn't Turtle Beachs fault, is that the headset is always "on" even though the 360 is turned off. Turns out the 360 USB ports have a constant power supply even with the 360 off. No big deal, I just unplug the USB connector.
I was considering the Tritton but the price and needing two adapters to power that beast on scared me away.
ahh i wish they weren't so pricey, i want them...as i am a Halo addict and my current headset is crap! the price is kind of justified though.
i think the price is justified considering the other headset options e.g. Tritton
