I have a feeling they would do great if they open here in cali, we have this kind of version called The Habit.

May i ask how much did that meal cost you?

About $11 CAD. That's about $9 USD. So a bit pricier than your standard fast food fare, but well worth it. The burgers are juicy, premium backyard-grill quality. You've gotta wait for you order, at least 5 minutes. Each restaurant/location is small and simple. One cashier. She takes your order, gets your fountain drink, writes your name on your receipt and calls it out when it's ready. There are, as far as I can see, only two short-order cooks in back, and they often make it a point of shouting "Order up" as though we're in a diner or something. The fries are fresh cut and smell amazing. They have a wide selection of cheeses, poutine, gravy, and 90% milkshakes.

Now if only they served some microbrews, too! I think I'd be in heaven!

A recent picture of the location can be found on my tumblr in my sig.

Yeah its exactly the same way here, but it will cost you $7, they also cut their fires everyday.

5 guys have some of the best fries ever. plus they give you loads of them. and their burgers, great stuff.

Never seen one in my life, i just checked online and the closest one to me is 50 miles away. i think there are only 2 locations in cali

they are out of DC i believe, they are all over down here in georgia now. with any luck you'll get more, great food.

I had Five Guys last night. Their store across the street from me just opened, and there's couple more that have been nearby for a while. It was mightily tasty. Their fries are like boardwalk fries, so if you like that kind, you'll love 'em. So good with vinegar.

Hero is good, but I always thought that it is a bit pricey for what you get. I'd choose Harvey's any day over Hero. I miss Harvey's!

Maybe I'm a little late to the burger talk, but I went to The Counter in Santa Monica on the weekend. Now this is what you call a burger: 2/3 pound of angus beef, cooked medium, with the following toppings: grilled pineapple, roasted red peppers, grilled onions, dill pickle chips, and gruyère. Roasted garlic aioli on the side.
