Macs have become that way. Been in a Starbucks lately?

The people who sit at Starbucks with their Mac and take 45 minutes to drink a coffee hoping to show of their notebook are trend whores. Maybe that Mac would have been more unique 9 or 10 years ago but now they just blend in with everyone else. I'm sure the iPad will get it's fair share of Starbucks trend whores showing it off. I'm sure they won't forget to wear their Keffiyeh and Ray-Ban Wayfarers while sipping that overpriced low quality coffee.

Eh. I have to admit that I've done that (but for the record, I was also working at Starbucks at the time and if I wasn't working, I was usually spent my time studying there).

As for last purchase:

Considering blacking it out entirely (smoking the lights, changing the color of the Saturn emblem, painting the brakes, and finishing the chrome job on the grille)

^ Don't forget the black rims with chrome lip.

I have a Honda Accord and I blacked it out. (20% tint, black rims and the paint is black, too). I love it!

Hey, I use to love going to Starbucks, relax with my coffee and MB. I dont consider myself a "trend whore," but I for one loved sitting outside of Starbucks during the winters in South Florida. The weather was awesome, and I can just relax there and get some stuff for work done. Sure its overpriced coffee, but it beats sitting in my house on a perfect December day in Ft Lauderdale.

Some of us actually bring our laptops there to work.

Anyway -- Doing a little work on my Strat. New neck and mid pickups, and new pots.

So you wanted a Macbook Pro for years? The 13" in my book is still a regular Mac Book. No video card, poor thing...

Well Steve Jobs and the rest of Apple think it's a MBP, I think most 13" MBP owners would agree with their opinion over yours. Also I'm sure the poster could care less what you think. Are you one of those people that threw a hissy fit when Apple introduced the 13" MBP? Is it because you don't feel special anymore?

Agreed. Just because it doesn't fit your needs doesn't mean you need to trash the guy/gals purchase.

I'm guilty, too. When I had my MBA, I always went to sbux to study presentation slides and such.

Anyways, recently got this little fella. Such a cutie.

Double agreed.

Nice 'tar TDD.:D

Anyways....... thought I'd share this purchase because of how cheap they were. Nordstrom Rack is my new favorite store. I bought a pair of Rock & Republic jeans, which retail for $218, for $54.50. That's 75% off. I happened to be at Nordstrom at The Grove yesterday, and saw the same pair at full price.

I agree. Ultimately, they're just marketing words. The product itself is the important part, not what it's called.
