Just ordered one of these:

Ergotron MX

Got tired of my Monoprice mount sagging when the arm was extended.

LOVE mine! Why the TC-17 over the TC-20 III? I personally haven't used it but it sounds to be pretty good. Just curious.

The TC-20 supposedly causes a drop in sharpness, and I lose 2 f-stops (to a f/5); the AF is also a lot slower.

With the TC-17, I lose only 1 1/2 f-stops (to a f/4.8) which is bearable. Plus the drop in sharpness isn't as bad, nor is AF much slower.

Of course with both, I've only tried the TC-17.

Anyways, this is going to be my new walking-around-lens.

Did you go for the kit or just the body? (I know the picture is of the kit, but just wondering nonetheless).

Awesome car, was just in the showroom earlier today as my GF is looking into purchasing one. We've looked at the Lexus IS250 AWD and the Infiniti G37x, but I think the A4 is giving us the better impression.

Yeah, I'm very impressed with it so far. My last car was a BMW 3 series, and I'm surprised just how much better this car feels.

Since it sounds like she really wants all wheel drive, I'd suggest the audi from those 3 choices.

On my way to the store to buy one of these (the Mini), and just ordered one of these for it (the keyboard/touchpad). Even though it's technically for a PS3, a bunch of reviews on Amazon say it works great for a media center computer.

Oh yeah....this will pay for itself in the first trip abroad...

I take it that was supposed to be a sarcastic smiley? I sure hope so, else you've got a big surprise coming when you try to use it anywhere other than North America.

Definitely a great HTPC. Have my mini setup on my LCD. Love the Plex software.

I'm pretty sure anyone who has an Amex also has a Visa or Mastercard. (I do..)

I had the other, non-Bluetooth version for my PC, and despite the lack of a numberpad, it was great! Small footprint, zero lag. I'm not sure if it works with Macs though. I've never plugged it into my MBP. Right now it just lets me type extremely quickly on my PS3 which is a nice plus. :) Cost me only about $20 too.

yesterday was my last purchase, my first mac ever. a base model macbook pro

last night i became first time mac user, now time to get use to it and figure it out

not very little lol

I disapprove of your definition of "little".

Haha yeah. The box was a lot bigger than I pictured it when I was shopping for it online last month.

The Apple store was awesome as usual. While we were waiting for the ACD to be brought out we chatted about iOS 4 and multi-tasking (and that we were both already using it on our iPhones :D), and about how crazy the store was yesterday with everyone trying to pre-order the iPhone 4.

My guess is that he meant the purchase (annual fee on the Amex Platinum) will pay off when he travels abroad due to the excellent travel benefits like lounged access, etc.

We all know what it looks like, but I bought a simlocked iPhone 3GS 16GB from 1 of our customers at work this morning.. It was accidently upgraded to 3.1.3 so at the moment, completely unusable in Belgium. (it's locked to T-Mobile Germany)

And last thursday I bought this one from 1 of my ex-colleagues:

15€ (400MHz, 512Mb, 20GB, DVD)

WOW great prices for both!

Well...I went to the store to get the Mini (which I did), and they also happened to have ALL the models of the iPad in stock...so I got a 32GB 3G too! My credit card is hurting right now :p

(by the way...the Mini/iPad combo is replacing my iMac 17", which is going to my parents :) )
