Going to be another long post

Thought it was time to upgrade the home Windows desktop computing power.

Going from a HP Pavilion a730n and a HP Pavilion a706n. Both have got to a point that upgrading anything in them is too expensive for the return given from the new part, so I decided I would go forth and do my first system build.

Wanted something cheap while still giving a good boost to what we currently have. Also with the parts here, going to scavenge some parts from the old computers - HDDs (200GB/160GB) / Card reader / CD/DVD Drives.

Picked up another Canon s90.. since I brought my own home, everyone in the family now wants one. Therefore I gave my s90 to my parents and picked up this new one for $280 from fredmiranda for my sister. Man, it's expensive to be home...

You should have just built your own. It is fun and cheaper. CMOYs are decent but the one I kept for myself is just sitting there. I have built 5 for friends and am working on something more powerful on a PCB.

Yeah but I didn't want to mess with that, so I paid the $35. Hope it will power my Denon D2000

I could take some I assume, they really wouldn't benefit you a great deal. I don't own a high quality camera only thing id be able to use would be my 3GS camera . If you want ill take some still.

I would take some for you - but it wouldn't make sense to since I alter the size of my icons, my dock etc. I guess I can take pics of some proprietary stuff like mail and ical.

Edit: Here you go...and yes I am sitting outside. Underneath and umbrella in the shade with a book and some lemonade. Life is good =) I guess the pic doesn't help unless it is high res too - but know that it is the perfect size text for me. Any bigger and I would go insane.

Well it seemed like a good price, and I have been looking at imacs for a while....

Tie rod broke on my truck leaving my front tires facing in opposite directions. So... looks like it'll be towed in the morning and worked on. Sadly, yet luckily, I just got new tires put on it and some front-end work done, so hopefully it'll all be done for free.
