Just got my HoodEye today, and so far I really like it. Very comfortable. Here is a pic for someone who wanted to see how it looks:

That album is great! My favorite is Connected!

I just bought these shoes

but, UPS delivered them to the wrong house today and they're lost! Now I have to wait 10 days for them to do an investigation :( and maybe I'll get a replacement pair. Sucks...

If you wouldn't mind, PM me when you have a few days/weeks with this under your belt. I'm looking hard at an external, and am finding it hard to pull the trigger. However, this is in the top 3 at the moment.

LL Bean Apex backpack. They have a 20% all backpack sale and I had $10 dollar coupon, so I saved 20 bucks:)

Pedal-A-Watt.

electron.jpg

Working on a small-scale alternative energy system in my apartment. The generator (and bike) are the first steps. Obviously, not much can be done with them. In the next couple of months I'll be purchasing a charge controller/voltage regulator, DC->AC pure sin wave 1000W inverter, and a batter or two. My goal is to run my entire desk (sans desktop linux box) off the battery. This consists of:

macbook pro
speakers
modem
router
lamp
HDHomeRun

And once I can get that running daily with a couple of bike rides, i'll look into what It'd take to add capacity for the computer. I'd obviously need more power sources at that point as well, or I'll just need to pedal a ton.

Got one of these this morning:

manhattan+bagel+(2).JPG

Porkroll on a plain bagel with butter from Manhattan Bagel. The hardest thing about going to an out of state school would be no more porkroll, I find it hard to believe NO other place outside Jersey sells this. I can drive about 30 mins away to New York and they would have no idea what I'm trying to order, very strange. Anyway, this is my usual that I get once or twice a week and its delicious :D

nice! (a little bit jealous- :D )

have you had a chance to use it yet or did you buy it online?

I got it online from POTN, and it just came in today. I love it! For $250 (I'm a master schemer as far as justifying purchases goes), it is a solid upgrade from my 1D Mark II.

A shmear of cream cheese, lox, and perhaps some cucumber slices (or tomato slices, but I hate tomato). Adding tuna salad and red onion to the mix is acceptable. And if you're going with tuna salad, you can splash tabasco sauce on the tuna.

But no pork.

:D

/I'm friggin' serious

I love tuna with some mayo and of course lemon juice mixed in, on a toasted bagel. Olives are optional :D

The problem is that the bagels out here suck. I can't find anything as good as Montreal bagels or Toronto's Bagel World twisters. And St. Urbain on Beverly blvd. doesn't count- those bagels are nothing like real St. Urbain bagels.

Ah well....

/thread jack over? :p

You bought Nike running shoes? Nike make great basketball shoes, but their running gear is awful. You might want to return 'em and look for Asics, Mizuno, or Brooks instead. Go to the stores listed on their respective sites and have your strike checked out. It'll make a world of difference!

No no no! The Coach Bowerman series of Nike running shoes are the BEST ever. That's all I ever used after I found them. I used those for about 14 years in the Navy. Coach Bowerman.

In china at the moment, so I picked up some shirts from UNIQLO (greatest store ever) and this:

About $250 CAD. Great deal considering it would cost me $280 plus 13% tax in Toronto. And yes, its real. :p
