Just got a Asus UL30VT from my dad. Was going to be an ebay sale for money but I needed something light to carry on rotations. Couldn't find a seller for a Macbook Air and everything on ebay that was non Rev A was like way over $1k!

Not bad though. Very thin and light, will have windows 7 pro and a 12 hour battery. Just what I need...although not what I want (osx!).

just picked this up, but have a feeling I will be selling it soon... It barely fits my camera...

WHat size is that one? I just got the brown and orange 7 Million Dollar home, and it fits my gear perfectly with room for growth. However, I have a small setup (see my signature..) I love the bag so far......maybe try the larger versions of the bag?

Nice, there's a lot of computer there. How's the screen?

For the money it has to be a good deal ... lighter than a 13" MBP, hdmi, 3 usb, switchable graphics and two year warranty, right?

Still have your 15" MBP? How would you rate the Asus from 1 to 10?

The problem is that the bagels out here suck. I can't find anything as good as Montreal bagels or Toronto's Bagel World twisters. And St. Urbain on Beverly blvd. doesn't count- those bagels are nothing like real St. Urbain bagels.

Ah well....

/thread jack over? :p

what about new york bagels.... Do you know how hard it is to find decent bagels out of NY

I think the bagel talk is over :p

I love tuna with some mayo and of course lemon juice mixed in, on a toasted bagel. Olives are optional :D

That sounds so amazing. Believe it or not I've been eating tuna all my life on bagels with mayo and I never thought about adding a little lemon juice to it. I think I've decided on my afternoon snack.

NO LEMON JUICE?! You are missing out. Tuna should never be made without some lemon juice. At least that's what I think :D

Actually I bought it originally for about $200 broken, but my dad refurbished it to new parts (he is a repair engineer). So no matter what it is a good deal. Basically lifetime warranty for me. Since I switched from Asus to Apple, my dad has been sad, but I think he understands.

The screen is bright, though the viewing angles are and crispness is not as good as the macbook. The build quality is not as good either but it is a slick looking computer, with all the right stuff, and at a great price ($200 for me!) so why not? Still want a mba though...

...I am also about to take the plunge on buying a cheapo electric guitar so my boyfriend can just jam on. Just getting a starcaster and amp combo. If any one has suggestions for a super cheap guitar amp combo, let me know!

You can get Taiwan made stratocaster kits (also comes with a gig bag, extra strings, a tuner and a lame instructional video) for like $299 at any guitar store. :) also try checking out http://www.musiciansfriend.com.

Hard to believe it was only $499 @ BestBuy. I paid $699 the week prior and had them price match it as they had a blowout sale last Sunday. :D
