Tiffany necklace. It's for my girlfriend for Xmas. :)

I didn't get her this exact model, but it's the closest image I could find. The necklace in the image ("Pearls by the Yard") are what I was originally going to the Tiffany shop to buy her, but I walked out of their shop with something else (that I can't find on their online shop). It has alternating white pearl -- square-shaped trinket combination along the necklace.

Apparently, it looks a bit less "classic" and more modern, and as I know nothing about jewellery, I didn't want to shop for her as if I were her grandfather or elderly relative. Anyway, I think it's nice. :)

Also, because it's summer where I live, I bought a few t-shirts that IMO look way better in person than they look in the photos (the fabric is awesome.... looks like linen, but isn't linen), and a new man-bag/murse because my old one was ripping in a few places, and was too small. This bag is also small, but it will fit my Kindle DX2, umbrella, lunch, etc.

May I ask where you got the bag? And you say its small, but how small? Guessing it wouldn't fit a 15" mbp?

A store called Country Road in Australia (LINK). Their stuff usually isn't my style (think "Banana Republic" in the US), but their bags are good quality at a good price (CR is quite expensive). My old bag was a Country Road bag, and I went straight back to CR to replace it with another. :) I got it on sale for $105 AUD.

And FYI, I just checked my bag and it fits a 15" MBP with my rigid STM sleeve. Compared to my Manhattan Portage bike messenger bag, it's around 2" shorter in length, but when compared to most other bags, I suppose my bag isn't as small as I thought!! ;)

Earlier, I mentioned that my CR bag ripped. To clarify, it cost me $40 (LINK), lasted me 2 years, and it didn't "rip" apart. It's just that the inner lining of the Napolean pockets (an outer pocket with vertical zipper on the front face of the bag) were starting to detach/rip. The lining was a bit soft, and were never meant to be sturdy. I treated my old bag very rough. Everything else about that bag was in good condition, and it looked so worn out that it looked fantastic!! :) I hope my new bag looks just as good in 2 years.

My new bag doesn't have any wimpy pockets, so that's not a problem.

If you want my bag and can't get it sent to you by CR, the only alternatives I found were from:

Ernest Alexander,
Filson,
Jack Spade.

They're all more expensive bags, but perhaps better quality? I don't know. I like my bag.

LOL I didn't mean to sound creepy. I don't think people on here "keep track" of other's purchases, but it just sort of happens since we all browse this thread a lot (Krafty buys a lot of food, Surely loves magnets, or... perhaps eats them). And you're right, it's not really upgrading. Chalk it up to being fickle. I'm just jealous because I haven't got the time or money to do the same, so I end up waiting too long, losing interest, then never really buy anything. :p

Where IS krafty anyway? XD

I bought new jeans today, 2 for $20. I know on a stylish Mac forum, spending less than $100 a jeans is against the law or something, but I tried everything on (I've grown to really like the way some Levis look/fit), and these felt/fit really good for 1/4 of the price. :D

The horror, they aren't slim fit XD

My copy of COD Black Ops arrived yesterday as well, got that on black friday for a whole $10...

I have no idea what I'm going to do with that just yet XD

Finally, I went to Rite Aid and bought lots of Candy. I then went to CVS and bought even more candy. It's no wonder I can't fit in skinny jeans XD

Don't sweat it. There are way cooler things to spend your cash on than jeans.

For many people here, it's actually quite the opposite at MR. You can't tell from reading this thread, but you can certainly tell from one of those, "What's the most you have ever paid for a pair of jeans" threads.

I'm sure there's a boatload of hipsters in these whereabouts, so I'd agree that expensive jeans aren't the trend. :D

Tell me more about this coconut waffle batter. Is this just regular waffle batter that you put shredded coconut in/ on or a special coconut batter?

Its actually just waffle mix, with added coconut flavoring and ground up coconut flakes. It sweetens the batter up so you can eat the waffles plain with no syrup. It is a popular snack that you can get at vietnamese or french styled bakeries! Delicious!

And last purchase, which will be sold shortly - Asus G51VX

Didn't buy this one, but got it from my dad - he works at Asus. It is a pretty sweet mouse!

Never really understood the appeal behind Toms. They're pieces of cardboard with fabric around them for $50+.

They cost about $40 and for every pair that is bought a brand new pair is sent to a child in Africa.

Also, you wouldn't believe it but they are extremely comfortable and durable. Also, you dont sweat in them much without wearing sucks. Nice for summer time and all that.
