Since I sold off some headphones from my grab bag with surplus, got myself an creative xmod for a nice price!! Versus all the amp offerings out there, this consumer-grade, audiophile-wannabe cutesy cheeseball product will be just fine for me as an upgrade over the headphone out of my mac.

Also picked up Microsoft Office 2011 family pack. Now that I have 2 macs again, it makes sense to get it.

Just wondering, does the xmod work if you connect it to your mac via usb and nothing else?

LMP Bluetooth Keypad

Just found this at the store. Works great with my apple wireless keyboard. Now I have the function of the wired keyboard without that darn wire...:)

I don't know of any brick & mortar stores with it, but online Other World Computing has it here.

Oh I am totally buying one of these when I get more money. This morning I just bit the bullet and ordered one of these. One step closer to getting my Mini set up as a server. Goodbye Freenas...I loved you, but now I've moved on.

What do you mean?

The xmod is powered by USB. It is a soundcard, so you need to connect it to headphones or speakers. Can't wait to get it!

My Moo cards arrived. I'm happy :)

Gorgeous! I have to order some again in the next week or so and I know they sometimes send referral codes out that benefit both the referer and referee (heh), so if you have a code or link, I'd be more than happy to use it so that you get some benefit out of it!

As in does it need to use the line-in on the mbp to work? I was looking for something that would only use a usb port and not the audio line-in.

Nope you don't need to use the line out of the mac to work. The device connects via USB port only, which is really nice.

used up my Amazon giftcards from Christmas for the Kindle with wifi.
my first official e-reader and it's pretty nifty!

I got the same one for Christmas and I love it. If your main focus is to truly read, the Kindle is what you want. It looks sleek, its very light, even with a case, and eye strain is nonexistent. Not to mention the battery life.
