For my own ring I told her just get me the el cheapo alternative metal one; the identical band in platinum (both her rings are platinum) would've been like a grand, f that; I went with the cobalt chrome for mine, dirt cheap and 4x harder than platinum...I don't need/want anything expensive for myself.

Grats my friend. I got engaged Christmas eve, so I have a while before I go grabbing some wedding bands. But I spend about 2500 on her engage ment. 1/2 karat diamond on 14 white gold. She loves it, so thats all that matters.

Hey thats rough man, but wholehearted congratulations on the good news. Just something that popped into mind- have you thought about having your rings platinum plated to celebrate your first child? (and apologies in advance if they're due- just making the assumption that its your first because of the allergy). Congratulations!

Few things render me speechless so I'd like the mods to take advantage of this moment because it doesn't come around often. All I can say is thank you. I'll PM you my address.
Mainly I am to poor to do that lol. That and she went and got a tattoo where the ring should go.
I also got the Etymotic Hf5's in red, but I'm going to return them. I think I just need to stick to cans as these hurt my inner ears.
