Where did you buy this from dude?
I can't find it anywhere brand new.. What's the image quality like? Got a flickr?

What the D40x or one of the M42 lenses?
Well I bought the D40x Body only used on ebay for £189.50 in mint condition.
The M42 lenses were all on ebay tagged at anything from £9.99 for the Optomax zoom lens, £39.00 for the Prinz Galaxy to £10 for the Tokina Wide angle.

I have got a flickr...

Though for now all my work on there was taken with my Canon EOS 400D.
I have got some images on my facebook taken with it, Actuall hold on, I'll link to a few....

I will add that they were taken with an older kit lens from my Nikon F55 film slr and so were manually focused. I now have the 18-55mm Aspherical Nikkor lens for it and the quality is on par with, If not better than the 400D.

Hope that helps??? ;)

Also got a new tv tuner. Old HDHomerun quit. Back to 3 tuners.
2 to record one to use for live tv. Was difficult going from 3 tuners to 1.

Nope. I've got an Opteka Fisheye adapter lens from eBay. It's essentially a magnifier (the macro adapter) attached to a curved piece of glass. The macro bit can be used on its own. :)

It's only like $40-50 for the whole thing. Not the same as a $1000+ macro lens, obviously, but put it on a 52mm thread zoom lens and you've got something that's certainly worth the cash they ask. It's great fun.
