Yamaha AVENTAGE RX-A2000 7.2 Receiver. I'm pumped to have 8 HDMI inputs now with stand-by passthrough. Going to make my life a lot easier than my old RX-V1600.

$159 at Best Buy, matched from Amazon. I had $240 in Best Buy RewardZone certificates so I only had to pay the taxes on $143 (love Best Buy for that little 10% reduction on price matches). Can't complain about getting such a nice camcorder for less than $30.

How did you manage to get BestBuy to price match an online vendor?

How did you manage to get BestBuy to price match an online vendor?

Easily..? It's right there in their price matching guarantee: "Whether you prefer in-store or online, our Lowest Price Guarantee makes sure you get the best price on the products you buy at Best Buy.

Either prior to purchase or within 30 days of purchase (14 days for computers, monitors, printers, notebook computers, camcorders, digital cameras, radar detectors, cellular and wireless devices, portable DVD players, and air conditioners) should you find a lower advertised price, including those on the Internet from an authorized Canadian dealer, we will match that price and beat it by giving you an additional 10% of the difference.

Simply present us with your original Best Buy or BestBuy.ca sales receipt, along with proof that the item you bought is being advertised at a lower price. Once our staff verifies that the item is in stock and available for immediate sale and delivery at the advertised price, you will receive your refund. If you purchased the item from BestBuy.ca and there is no Best Buy store in your area, you can contact us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week — we’re here to help."

It's that way in Canada, at least. Is it not the same in the U.S.?

That explains it, since in the US it has to be a retail store located in the same market area as the local Best Buy store.

I really appreciate Canada right now. I definitely can't see why they wouldn't do it the same in the States. $30 lost is much better than $200, in the grand scheme of things. Better to make a sale in the long run, or so you'd think.

It's too bad the price we're matching is still probably ridiculously high thanks to our ridiculous tariffs. :p

B&W P5 headphones for the iPhone. Finally got fed up of Apple's £55 ones, and these are really nice, plus they have in-line controls.

very very nice bag,I like the colour, it's very similar to one I looked at before buying the crumpler muffin 4000, All I carry is the D300 with tamron 17-50 f2.8 vc lens + a few cards & battery, so I was after something small, but the crumpler was too nice to say no too

Thanks! I'm going to art college later this year, ( Yay for being a student again! )
So I wanted to treat myself to a slightly 'Better-on-the-eyes-yet-practical' camera bag to carry one of my slr's/dslr's and a few lenses etc.:D

I have got three Lowepro rucksack style bbags but they annoy the hell out of me, Plus I hate the bland blackness of them.

that's a killer piece of equipment there! Congrats and enjoy! May i ask what kind of speakers your goign to rock with this?

Thanks! I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival. I have a pair of Klipsch F3's, C3 center and S2 surrounds. The sub is a Klipsch Sub-12. When I get a house instead of being in an apartment I'll probably upgrade the speakers but they sound pretty good for now. I really just needed more HDMI inputs and standby passthrough. I figured I might as well future proof myself a bit if I'm going to spend the money.

Nope. I've got an Opteka Fisheye adapter lens from eBay. It's essentially a magnifier (the macro adapter) attached to a curved piece of glass. The macro bit can be used on its own. :)

It's only like $40-50 for the whole thing. Not the same as a $1000+ macro lens, obviously, but put it on a 52mm thread zoom lens and you've got something that's certainly worth the cash they ask. It's great fun.

Nice, that's how my Raynox 150 works, too, minus the fisheye bit. I've had a lot of fun with it. It's great to be able to take some macro shots without investing in a macro lens. I mainly use it on a 50mm f/1.4 M42, but I've put it on some telephoto zooms, too.
