$15 - Love Matt Mays, he's one of the best musicians from my area if not the absolute best.

Very good album.

When I saw Sam Roberts play here in LA last year (or was it two years ago?), Matt Mays came out and played during the encore. It was a cool surprise.

Joel Plaskett is from NS too.....

I tried it with the D3S tonight, but I have to get my eyes used to the 180º field of view and fast movement of large and very close objects.

I tried photographing an A380 (Emirates) on landing at extreme close range and discovered just how violent the turbulence from those things can be. ;)

Sam Roberts, now that's one I need to see.

Matt Mays is incredible, and the performance was so energetic. It was great to see someone get so into their music, a lot of live shows aren't as intense as Matt tends to be.

I actually saw Plaskett this past Monday night. We're hosting the 2011 Canada Games here in Halifax, so they've been doing free concerts every night this week and continuing next week.

Plaskett was Monday as I said - he was really awesome and managed to improvise an entire song when he forgot the lyrics to his own :p

Sloan played Tuesday, but I had to miss them. They're a childhood favourite, so I really would have liked to go.

Hey Rosetta! was Wednesday and it was the single most energetic and musically-intensive show I've ever been to. Loved them.

Matt was last night, and like I said - phenomenal.

Tonight is Hawksley Workman and tomorrow is Great Big Sea. I'll have to miss both due to work, unfortunately.

And next week nothing really great happens until Saturday, when City & Colour plays. I'm expecting greatness from that.

They're fantastic live. New album will be out in May, so I imagine a summer tour is in the works....

He's fantastic. I've seen him live a couple of times, including at the Horseshoe in Toronto when he did an entire week of playing a different album each night. I saw the Ashtray Rock show. Sooooooo good.

Awesome.

Man...... some friggin' great live music out there! I'm just glad I can follow the Canadian Indie scene via CBC Radio 3.

And to keep the thread on topic:

Just pre-ordered Killzone 3 on Amazon. Can't wait!

+1 I skipped on Black Ops and I loved Killzone 2. I really shouldn't have since I still have a lot of games I need to finish. O well the $20 Amazon credit for preordering help pushed me towards the purchase. + Iron Man 2 Blu-Ray + Inception Blu-Ray
