My typical Starbucks drink is an iced venti cappuccino, quad ristretto, soy ...and pick a flavor - today was a white mocha raspberry (yes, I only do 3 pumps of each...6 of each would be more than a little nauseating :) )
even 3 seems too much

FINALLY. After weeks and weeks of searching on ebay for one of these guys...the return of my favorite mp3 player of all time.

Sony NWZ-A728

Image

I had one of those for a while to pair with my Westone 3s. Sound quality was phenomenal. But, I unfortunately had to sell the Westones to help pay for books, so I sold the Sony player, too. :(

... Not that I can really complain about having Triple.Fi 10s and a Practical Devices XM4 connected to an iPhone. :p

How much did you end up paying for it, if you don't mind me asking?

Your set up is pretty sweet still ;)

$50 for an 8gb player. Kind of steep it might seem, but I have been searching for this thing for weeks, as this particular model is incredibly hard to find. Can't wait!!

EDIT: also realized this is my 2000th post. yay me!

What IEMs are these? JH Audio? UE? UM?

I considered buying a pair last year, but upon getting my moldings done I discovered I had a lot of ear wax... it made me reconsider my decision.

That shouldn't put you off... I had HEAPS of earwax but the guy removed enough to get the mouldings then I went to an ear nurse who used suction to get the deep stuff out.
Sure, you have to clean them more than normal in-ears, but as long as you do it regularly enough there's nothing to really worry about. I could only ever buy IEMs from now on... other earphones and headphones just don't cut it for me anymore :p

I just got my second Explored photo on Flickr in under a week. I was over the moon so I bought another year of Pro for no reason! :)

I stalked the crap out of your flickr after seeing "When We Were Young" in a photography thread.

Very beautiful photos.

I used to have an iteration of this Sony player and it was definitely my favorite mp3 player i've ever owned. I ended up giving it to a friend of mine who lost their iPod and couldn't get a new one. He bought a new iPod that got stolen.. so he still uses it.

I kind of miss the simplicity of it.

They are my livewires T2. I don't use them much anymore because my shure se425s are surprisingly more comfortable.

I've been a fan of the sony a series for its remarkable sound quality. It was a favorite of many people a few years back. All sony players now a days have that strange mickymouse button placement, but this one is the only one that looks serious and packs a punch. I regretted selling my last one, but so happy I finally found a replacement.
