Slowly piecing my build together. Decided to make the splurge. Haswell might be nice, but found a good deal to buy my way into the 2011 socket.
Not a fan of ROG boards but 2011 is the way to go especially over Haswell which isn't looking too promising.

A lucky eBay find. The previous handler (owner) built it after collecting magazines over 46 weeks, each magazine came with 1 bone.
wow you bought a titan nice and i think i heard the socket 2011 will work with haswell when that chip releases in 2011 its the 1156 or 1155 socket is dead in haswell
Haswell is socket 1150 it replaces socket 1155 (Sandy, Ivy). 1155 and 1150 coexisted and will coexist with socket 2011. Socket 2011 is Sandy (current) Ivy (Fall) extreme and Xeon.

I sold an older one to a fellow MR member; sort of regretted doing it (the act of selling that is); this one feels kind of cheap compared to my 35; maybe that's a good thing~

Tried to cheap it out with ball mount. Finally folded~
Wimberly gimble tripod head.
After almost getting lost with no cell reception (I did have my Garmin); also $150 for unlimited talk is pretty good; I blew like $300 on roaming minutes just last month~
Spot Global sat phone.
