Let me know how it performs please, Im about to buy the same. Though I believe the 2012 MBP can also accept 16gb?

Turns out I didn't pay too much attention when buying it so I didn't realize it is one 8gb stick versus two 4gb sticks. I don't find it to be a problem thus far, I left one of my 2gb sticks in and put in the 8gb for a total of 10. I haven't put it to the test yet but it is much much speedier. It's most noticeable when opening Adobe applications.

And yes it can accept up to 16gb, I'll probably buy another 8gb stick in the near future to be honest.

May i ask...why?

I didn't have a single laptop that could connect to WiFi.

Unfortunately, it was in terrible condition. missing multiple screws. There was a screw that someone had screwed into the DVI port. I had to do a full disassembly to recover it, which revealed even more screws missing on the inside. Also, the screen would work normally until it got past the Apple boot screen. Then, it would have a host of line issues that had greater details of severity depending on whether you pushed down on the top right corner of the case (where the video cable is).

And this was sold as a working computer.

I'm going to hax my mid-2011 iMac a little.
I'm planning on removing the SuperDrive and replacing it with my Samsung 830. Then I'll install the Seagate 4TB in the default HDD space.

All my Apps, OS X, and software will be put on the SSD. Then I'll have my iTunes Media folder pointing to the HDD.
Should work out pretty pretty good. :)

Very similar case to the one I've found myself in w/ the 12" in my sig.

Bought the PowerBook for a pretty hefty price, considering how much these guys run you in nowadays. But was assured that it was in 'excellent, near mint condition, packed in original box for complete reassurance'.

Then the thing turned up - the lid is in terrible condition, with dents & deep scratches everywhere. The magnetic hook mechanism is missing altogether, meaning the laptop hangs open when shut. The LCD panel is loose inside the bezel, and when you tilt/adjust the screen - the inverter cable pinches & the whole thing blacks out. There are at least half a dozen screws missing just from what I can see (haven't delved inside yet, trying to get a damn refund) & the ones that are present are either completely threaded or screwed in the wrong hole (the seller is currently claiming they don't know anything about computers - even though they've quite obviously taken the laptop apart; POORLY, may I add, in the past). The up & down arrow keys don't work & there is a huge dent on the corner by the battery, which disfigures the palmrest & sets the whole laptop on the conk. The 'original' box isn't original. The specs on the box states a 1GHz G4 whereas the laptop is actually 1.5GHz.

Buyers beware! There are loads of people trying to pull a fast one on these little guys.
