Just picked up a mint condition 2010 Mac mini server - dual 500GB drives with 8GB RAM and 2.6C2D, it also came with a sealed copy of OSX 10.6 Server (still my favourite release IMO).

Very pleased with this :)

My new router finally arrived today, a brand new last gen Time Capsule. I've always wanted one of those, so when MacMall had them on sale I jumped at the chance.

It's everything I would've hoped for and more, plus it's the nicest looking router I've ever had. Sweet!

Well I was a bit tired the other night and while trying to get the postage prices for a bunch of stuff on Amazon I accidentally clicked order :(

Hurridly cancelled the load of stuff on my list, however it seems I was not thorough enough and one part of the order arrived today. I am ambivalent about it as I really needed the storage; but now my master card looks a little heartbroken lol (good job I have 6months interest free on purchases!)

So I am the proud owner of these two little gems;

a 1TB Samsung EVO SSD and a 4TB Seagate 7200rpm HDD.

Now the Mac Pro has its 3TB mirror (with my existing 3TB Seagate) and a 1TB OSX drive (with a spare 1TB Partition for 'stuff').

Leaving the machine restoring my files to the RAID overnight (from a rather slow USB3 WD Green disk - 70MB/s bleugh)

at least my storage needs are now sorted for many years to come. Good job I cancelled the other parts of the order else I would be explaining to my fiancé where the CH Flightstick Pro, CH Throttle Pro, Samsung Series 9 HD monitor, and Nvidia 680 card came from lol

Just been stocking up on these. Bought 10 packs (40 bottles) from Tesco (half price at the moment. They only sell the glitter berry one at Christmas and it's the only thing she will drink other than water. As she doesn't get many treats (wheat intolerant and a vegetarian) it's a case of stocking up when you can.

That is some nice audio equipment. Very nice.....

With the type of price-gouged prices and sky high taxes in Canada and Toronto, I am assuming the items you bought must have cost you a fortune......

It was a bit on the pricey side but this was something I knew I wanted to buy and saved for. Like I said in my last post, this is not something I'll be sinking money in, I know it can get a bit crazy when you start getting into different interconnects and speaker wires/cables so I'm going to try my best to stay away from getting sucked in! Maybe I'll be posting another purchase post here very soon...:D

man I can't wait for my nephews to stop putting everything in their mouths so I can buy this and the Ninja Turtles Legos. Kind of hate little kids now for having cooler toys than I did and only wanting to play on the iPhone or Xbox

Who cares? Maybe the guy's a klutz, or the case suits his lifestyle and work environment. ...Perhaps he just feels like it.

Stocking up on my favorite tea. :)

for serious, millions and millions of $ worth of product design straight down the ******* because of cases like this

and people actually buy these things

amazing

wow, what an amazingly negative and groundless comment.

When I used to carry my iPad around onsite a lot; I had an otterbox defender on it - ugly as hell, but protected what is an expensive device and was vital to my work.

Ok now I don't take mine out and about I prefer not to have a cumbersome case, but I can't see how protecting a device takes away from its design.

Its still half a pound lighter, and faster than the previous generation.

True! My lad loves his 3DS and Wii, but the one thing that will draw him away from tech is Batman Lego. And I'm happy to oblige the little man:) And he plays with it with great care, he knows how expensive they are.

Just bought a Tassimo for £50 delivered, and includes £20 credit for their coffee. So a Tassimo and £20 worth of coffee for £50. Not bad me thinks, and will tide me over until I get a proper set up...
