Spent $3000 to tent my house to get rid of the termites
Ouch. My heartfelt sympathies. But it is the only way to address this issue….
A few years ago, a queen wasp decided to take up residence in a small cavity off - or rather, in - our roof. Naturally, her striped subjects, winged and armed with nasty stings, moved in with her, in vast numbers, and the colony grew. And grew. And grew. Exponentially. Clearly, it was a most desirable abode.
Actually, until then, I hadn't known that wasps, like bees, were - are - ruled by queens, and found it absolutely fascinating
We had to persuade Her Majesty, along with her reluctant subjects, to move elsewhere, and, needless to say, it took professional help (professional, hilarious company, extraordinarily instructive - I learnt so much I hadn't known as I watched this process, - and extremely competent), gowned, masked and armed with chemical canisters of a most disturbing appearance, to effect this move. Despite the unwelcome nature of the chemical attack, it was explained to me that the striped subjects would not even contemplate movement until Her Majesty - who had to be identified successfully, in essence, a bigger, bolder, more powerful looking insect - took the - deeply reluctant - decision to do so and led her swarm away…….

Sympathies for the huge expense to get rid of those little stinkers.
On the other hand, it beats having your house fall down!

That is a great computer; I have one, and there is absolutely nothing better for travelling - it is portable and powerful, a fantastic combination.
Oh, yes, agreed; how could I have overlooked creamy, crumbly, slightly tangy, divine Stilton? An amazing cheese, especially when it is in season around Christmas time….

I needed a new shaver to replace my 4 or 5 year old one. Picked up this one with the self-cleaning gizmo because I'm lazy and wanted something that would clean the shaver head for me.
This one is a DSG. Decided to give it a shot this time around. Traded in my 2013 6MT. This one had pretty much every box ticked on the option sheet that I wanted and my previous 6MT was pretty unoptioned.
So far I'm still adjusting after 12 years of driving manuals. This transmission is really impressive and a blast in full manual. That said I'm still not sure it's as fun as manually rowing the gears yet.
