That totally makes sense actually. I read that you can't run it for longer than 10 hours though:confused:

Ha! I'm glad, then again it's not surprising. I never had any Macs fail on me yet. So much so that I've never purchased AppleCare. And when I did purchase AppleCare+ for my iPhone, I never had to use it. Then again, better be safe than sorry. My dad's 2009 Mac Mini is still running smoothly, yet in that time he had two HP monitors fail.

My first Mac was a 2006 MBP and I eventually gave it to some friends and it's still going. It's never had any problems to this day either.

I put the EVO in just because I could, not that it needed to replace the 830 you put in it.

Really...really...really unlikely!:p

I think you have me all wrong! :p

Anyway to get this back on track. Went to a National Trust property and had a pot of tea and slice of cake.
How British!

Thanks for the kind words.

If that's a reference to the NY Rangers...the last NY Rangers hockey match I attended...Gump Worsely was the goalie.

A little out of it...you say!?

Lol, you'd be given a very hard time on Reddit for your purchase.

Don't know what Reddit is...and ****'em if they can't take a joke!:p;)

My collection of pork pie hats is an homage to the jazz world of the 40s and 50s.

I had a REALLY lousy evening. And you know what we men do when we're bummed...we buy a hat!

I thought you would have reached for the single malt whisky!
Hope your Sunday is better than your Saturday.
Whatever hat I buy makes me look stupid. Sadly my hair is getting thinner, so if I'm out in the sun I have little choice but to wear a hat.

Thinning hair, and the desire to wear fedoras (which I've had for a long time) is what led me to start wearing hats. The last time I was in Chicago, took the architectural tour and walked around the city, I got a sunburn on the top of my head - which never happened before!

Thank you so much for the good wishes! From your lips...

You mentioned a scotch to relieve the misery...who says I didn't do both...have a drink (absinthe, actually) AND buy a hat!

Your hair may be thinning...that ship sailed for me long ago. Let's just say, diplomatically, that my hair has turned almost entirely to skin on top...and the sun is one of my primary motives (as is for you) to avoid scalp burn.

A bit of style also plays into the mix, too.:p

In a coffee shop.
Benthall Estate. http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/benthall-hall/ A small country estate. I go to take photos, mostly the gardens and sours undoing countryside. Some of which will make it on to here https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1739797/ in the next few days.

Thank you; I'll look it up - I like visiting those old estates, especially the less well known places.

While, instead, it is said that women tend to buy shoes…..

Thanks for the kind words.

Ah. Some cool classic listening in there, then….

Well, as a member of the (usually) more discriminated against female gender, I have to say that thinning hair is not for once, a problem I have to contend with; my hair, for the record, is still thick and dark, (although a few treacherous grey ribs are beginning to show) and I rarely wear any sort of hat…….

Nonetheless, it sounds as though the purchase of - and consumption of - absinthe has been a solid success….

Strangely it only opens at 1pm so I'd recommend combining it with a trip to Much Wenlock about 10 minutes away. A pretty little village with a ruined Priory which is also worth a visit if you like to take pictures

Me too.
Can't wait for it to arrive. :)

The little EVF is amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect to be honest and it blew me away. The one complaint with the EVF is that when you push it back down, say to use the LCD display to shoot, it shuts the camera off. Sort of a PITA, but other than that the camera is great.

Very nice! I have the mk2, and being that the bodies are the same I would recommend getting a grip for it. The body is really smooth, and with that, can be slippery. There are many different kinds out there, but I went with the one straight from Sony. Works great, gives me a much better hold on the camera.

Thanks!

I picked up a grip at the Sony Store yesterday as well :) Oddly, the M3 calls for a revision 2 grip (AG-R2) but the store only had the R1. Seems to work, though.
