I've got a Sears version of those that I bought back in the 80s I think, they still work but all the foam pieces have long since disintegrated and I've never been able to find replacement foam pieces.

Well KOSS has : Koss Limited Lifetime Warranty http://www.koss.com/en/support/warranty_and_repair
But I think your headphones are too old for that warranty :D

Friend of mine has KOSS headphones and same thing happened to her, the foam pieces broke, she emailed to the warranty address and got new ones for free.

I'm in London at the moment, doing museums, theatres, cafés, a few pubs and several shops.

I have ordered shirts in Jermyn St, bought a pair of shoes, an Osprey briefcase, and a Barbour jacket. My friends elsewhere on this forum will be interested to learn that I have also bought a set of six, silver, Art Deco coffee spoons…..

Now that causes intense jealousy...especially since Art Deco is my favorite visual arts style!

Could there be a more amazing building than the Chrysler Building in NY?!

Thanks. They're not exactly the same as yours but very similar. I still have the box and I apparently paid $29.99 for them way back when. The name on the box is Sears "Go Anywhere" by Koss, there isn't any warranty info listed on the box, although there's a receipt (faded to nothingness) in the box there isn't a warranty. I suppose the warranty if there was one would be by Sears...maybe I'll try contacting Koss and see if I can get some replacement pads.

Dangit! No one is supposed to know that!

Purchased The Ripper gun DLC from COD Ghosts for Xbox One. Disappointed. I don't usually buy that kind of stuff, but I bought a $25 Xbox cash card, so I could get Titanfall when it was $25, but I missed it. So now I just have $25 sitting in my account and keep buying dumb things. Like this skin for my guns in COD too.

Haha, sorry! That post was really just meant for SBG and I knew that he would know I was joking without any textual indicators simply because he knows i'm not that type of person.

Also, people say that it's hard to tell when i'm joking in person sometimes too, because I guess I get really into it and don't laugh or smile or even smirk or sound like i'm kidding. Until after the person believes me.. ha. So it's not surprising it was hard to get via text on an internet forum.

I've never done something like that before. And you're right, it would be terrible.

If I knew someone wanted something badly enough that they'd be jealous if I bought it, i'd probably buy it for them if they couldn't do it themselves (within reason).

I know I don't post often enough for you to get my personality, but if you ever happen to see me say something not nice, i'm most likely not serious.

Well, I apologise again; clearly, I totally misunderstood - my irony filter was completely misaligned. Mea culpa.

I have given a more detailed description of the small silver spoons in our espresso thread; they are small, (solid) silver (because the first set I had been shown were silver plated and I asked whether they had any in solid silver), exquisite, quite plain (which I like), that is, apart from the very top of the spoon handle, where each little spoon comes complete with what looks like a small coffee bean…….

Actually, I had quite a good discussion about Art Deco and other styles with the two guys who manned the stall; I also bought a single small silver spoon from the early 19th century - it will be a rather nice and elegant sugar spoon.

I just ordered this cognac from a local liquor store. It is not usually stocked by local liquor stores...so an order was necessary.

I was given a bottle of this stuff many years ago as a gift...and am now at the bottom of the bottle (I don't drink much!), so I decided to replenish the stock.

A quote from the Pierre Ferrand site...

Pierre Ferrand Réserve
Brilliant, more deeply hued golden yellow. A vanilla nose dominated by notes of dried rose petal and apricot jam, then candied fruit. A finish of walnut, cinnamon and licorice. A rich and elegant cognac.

Gold Medal with 94/100 – Beverage Testing Institute (2009)

« One of the more multilayered finishes in the cognac category. »

Okay: Now, I think you are trying to make me……..I was going to write 'jealous' but that is not true, so I will allow the word 'thirsty' to be used, instead.

While you may not drink much, I find I have a healthy appetite for the stuff, and am really rather fond of a rather good cognac. Enjoy. And drink a toast to those of us on the espresso thread………

And, as this is both a beverage and a vintage of which I am completely unaware, some tasting notes wouldn't go amiss, either………when you have managed to get around to sampling it…...

The tasting quote in my post will give you a good idea of this cognac, as I am notoriously terrible at expressing myself coherently regarding tastings...whether it be coffee, wine, scotch, or cognac.

It is a modest 20 years old, and fairly reasonably priced. Speaking of which, while I was ordering this I mentioned to the fellow taking my order that finding The Macallan 18 (my favorite single malt scotch) was very difficult to find...nay impossible. He said it's super hard for anyone to find, and said he had one bottle, as that was all he had been able to obtain. With much excitement and bright anticipation I asked the price...$225 for the fifth!

Suffice it to say I will be more than happy with The Mcallan 17 Fine Oaks Series that I have now!

"20 Years old and fairly reasonably priced" does beg the question of how much is 'reasonable' in the context of 20 year old cognac?

Usually I try to buy XO, but on a relatively recent visit home, I was offered a chance to buy a bottle of 'Extra' cognac (a grade older than XO), at the price this product had when first stocked in the 1990s, as I was assured that the next consignment would cost a lot more. I bought it.

Now, (unlike the the immortal and graphically descriptive terms of 'cat fur', and 'coyote poop' which were offered as descriptions of tastings for some strange varietals of coffee bean), I very much doubt that such responses would come about from a tasting of XO cognac…..

It was $67.00 USD (~£41.00)...not cheap, but compared to the $225 for the scotch, a bargain! This is The Reserve...I passed on the 30 year old, as this was the cognac I have had already and know that I find it very pleasing. I also didn't even ask how much the 30 year old was, as $67.00 was as much as I wanted to spend.

Enjoy it, my friend!

Myself, the words '30 year old' in conjunction with the noun 'cognac' does something strange to my system, the sort of 'strange' where wallets are whipped out and credit cards proffered…….

In a whiskey shop in Dublin where I stopped off for a day and a half - en route between central Asia and London - buying a gift (a wonderful whiskey called 'Yellow Spot') for my British friends whom I shall visit next week, my attention was drawn to an antique Armagnac which the enthusiast behind the counter assured me offered some of the best value in the place, and came in at over 20 years old………

I expect to pay the place a return visit……..

I'm not usually one to pick up movies on release as they tend to be on the expensive side, but I've been waiting to see this for some time. When it was out in theatres I was in the middle of my summer examinations and couldn't make the time.

that was a great movie.

I prefer over-the-ear to in-ear and wanted to try cord free without breaking the bank. Just arrived and charging, can't wait to have a listen with a little Joe Bonamassa blues.

Two packs containing 20 individual bags of Walkers (the British Lay's?) Unmistakably Cheese & Onion crisps. A friend recommended them so I ordered some directly from England thanks to Amazon. They sound tasty! Hopefully they don't taste exactly like our sour cream and onion.

No, they don't.

Actually, I suspect that you will find that they will taste 'moreish', (as in, you will wish to eat more of them); in other words, they are a bit salty, and savoury, and needless to say, are horribly addictive. Superb with beer, (or wine), as nibbles……..

Gawd I want. I get these here in Greece, and they are REALLY good:

Ah, but those are the gourmet crisps, not the common-or-garden variety.

This is, of course, 'gourmet' pronounced in the exact same, slow, drawling manner that Quentin Tarantino expresses it, when offering to make coffee as a most reluctant host for the pair of killers who materialised in his house with an accidental corpse in 'Pulp Fiction'.
