Birthday gift for my mom, hope she is going to like it. Always complains about her point and shoot cam, so this was logical. Also got her a place in a SLR beginner workshop, so the little wheel will not be turned to the green square ;)

Samsung EVO 840 250Gb.
Torx T4-T10 screwdriver set.

I purchased the SSD to change the HDD of my MBP. The MBP can´t use it at maximum speed, but for what I use my MBP it is more than enough.
The Torx set I purchased to change the hard drive. I had several Torx head from before, but apparently T6 was´t one of them.

Now to see if I want to buy an USB3 or Thunderbolt enclosure to place a new SSD to boot from for my iMac. Or go through the troublesome procedure to open my iMac and place it internally.

Crucial 8GB to compliment my new Samsung SSD. Installed in my mid 2009 MBP has brought new life to it.

Holycrap.

What do you do?

Can 1 remote trigger all GoPros? And Holy Crap!!

Yes the 1 remote can trigger all the Hero4 units (the Budget Hero has no wifi).

These are all mainly for review on my YouTube channel. I sold all of my Hero3+ Black cameras and only kept 1 back. Replaced them with the 2 Hero4 Black cameras.

The Hero4 Silver and the budget Hero will either be given away or sold after I've finished reviewing them - not decided yet. May get a final third H4 Black instead. I like to have multiple views of the one subject or item in my own (non-YouTube) videos and these are awesome little cameras.
I've built quite a collection of mounts as well - as you can see from my channel! Lol

I don't know why they didn't just put Bluetooth in these instead of a wifi chip. The wifi drains the battery fast. I gave up on the remote because of that. Bluetooth 4.0 might not give you the same reach but I think it would be sufficient for most GoPro users.

Completely agree. Apparently GoPro stated that Bluetooth wasn't fast enough to stream the video across at a reliable rate. At the moment the only use for Bluetooth is during the initial pairing process with iOS devices in order to block 3rd party apps out. Shame really.

I have 2 batteries per camera - forgot to post that above! Lol

But most of those hoodies in the link are for ladies. ;)

Really? I bought a couple nice hoodies for my boyfriend. I didn't really notice if there were more women's than men's.

I don't. I just said that due to the fact that all the celebs are wearing them like they wear Beats headphones.

Ooh.. I don't really pay attention to celebrities, haha, so I have no idea.

I am a huge fan of Ray-Ban Wayfarers, so I can't really judge anyone's choice in sunglasses that are "mainstream". And I wear a pair of Flak Jacket XLJ's for when I ride my bike.

Ugh, and Im trying to sell my Xserve and Xraid. (maxed out, fully redundant Xeon systems.)

After our wedding last month, we went a little crazy with the REI gift cards we received and bought all this. A bright orange Pelican case, in hopes that I don't set it down and forget it somewhere. and a GoPro Hero3+ black edition. It was also on sale because we bought it a week before the 4 came out. I have a mid-2012 MBP, so this will still shoot video of higher quality than I can work with. And for what we are doing, the sale price on this was more valuable to us than the added features of the 4. My Water/shock proof casio point and shoot is in the case also. Im no pro, just a guy who wants to start documenting our travels and adventures in the outdoors a little more.

And, next up, is $1112 (my cost, retail is closer to $2000) worth of parts to fix an very annoying timing issue with my F150. This was definitely a purchase I did NOT want to make.

Yes yes yes, I'm a sell out for buying Oakley's.

They are quite cool though. Bloody prescription lenses got a fortune though.

I have the same type of sunglasses but they have the American flag on the "O" on each side. I can't wear them in uniform so I wear my authorized Oakleys at work.

I wore out my brakes at Sonoma Raceway last weekend (with the aid of 6 previous track days), so it's brake job time. Zimmerman zinc plated rotors, wear sensors, and Performance Friction brake pads.

This is pretty much what I have been thinking about doing for some time now. I was waiting to see if Apple would update the Thunderbolt displays.

I have a 27" iMac and keep having problems with this ghosting type thing in the corners of the screen. I had the same problem with my previous iMac and the Apple guy told me it was dust and I should keep an air purifier close, which I have done. But the new one still has the problem. I have Apple Care and can get the problem fixed, but it's just going to happen again probably.

The only thing that is keeping me from making the jump now is that the RAM is not user replaceable on the new Minis from my understanding.

My recent bad experience with my iMac lead me to want a change in set up. Taking that thing *this is before they got rid of the optical drive and made it thinner* was a pain to take back and forth to the Apple Store. They replaced the HDD, memory, and PSU. Plus it has a dead pixel that gets on my nerves. So I bought the new set up and the iMac is going for sale soon. The RAM is sort of an issue since I had 20GB in my iMac. But I'll make due with the 8GB for now. Plus it was a great excuse to upgrade.

I figure if Apple releases new Thunderbolt display, it's going to cost a lot more than $1K. And it doesn't look like Apple is in a rush to update them. Just received the monitor and the stand is pretty flimsy. Can't wait to set it up but the Mac Mini won't be here for another week. If the LG speakers are terrible, I'll pick up the Audioengine A2.

For me and my 8yr old son, Saturday nights are reserved for our FilmClub night. No women allowed, so the wife has to watch Tv upstairs (translate that to 'the wife doesn't like our choice of films, so buggers off to bed:D).

This weekend we will start watching this...
