I like the spigen case as well, except for that cutout for the apple logo.. That is too much "wanna make sure everybody sees that this is an iphone" :roll eyes: Otherwise really nice, have a spigen case on my iphone 5 too

32GB of Crucial DDR3 1600MHz RAM (dual 16GB kits) to upgrade my Retina iMac from the stock 8GB. I've been using Crucial memory for years and they've been solid with Macs. I spent $273 in total instead of $600 that Apple wanted for the upgrade.

And I also ordered me an iPhone 6 Plus aluminum bumper - the Spigen Neo Hybrid EX Metal in silver. This is the bumper version of the one that @Soulreaver99 purchased above. I've been testing the iPhone 6 version and it got me to order one for my daily driver, a Space Gray 6 Plus. It's one of the nicer premium cases I've used from Spigen. Aluminum finish is mint. Can't beat the $20 or so price tag either.

So the RAM in the new iMac's are user upgradable then eh? I may well be wrong, but I thought they started soldering the RAM on when they redesigned them a couple of years ago.

27" is still user upgradeable, 21.5" lost it with the redesign I think.

??

do they have all the models there ??

how do you like it ??

Not sure, I just wanted wifi w/ special offers and they had it so I didn't ask about others. They had 6 of these ones though.

I like it so far, obviously not a huge upgrade of my paperwhite, but I know someone who wants my Paperwhite so I said I'd upgrade and give that to them. First complaint, maybe only complaint, the page turn by pressing the bezel option. You have to press in one place on either side to page forward and higher up on either side to page back, if that makes sense. It seems like you'd oress the right bezel to page forward and the left side to page back.

Screen is real nice, not sure how much if any difference I see between this and the paperwhite though. I'll have to look at both side by side tonight.

The markings on the sides of the bezel look too distracting and so I decided against this version.

I never considered that at all, I don't even notice them. I am liking the squeeze to turn feature on the bezel. At first I thought it was odd how it wasn't right to go forward and left to go back, but now I'm liking it a lot.

It would drive me insane. I'm easily distracted. Paper white 2 is superb though.

There not that bad:D.

I agree though, the paperwhite 2 is great, if I didn't use $160 in RewardZone Certificates I'd probably return it for another PW. Much, much better value, the Voyage should have just replaced the PW at the same price point.

Post Your Last Purchase XXVII

So, I have looked through the last 20 or so pages 3 times trying to find something that I thought I saw here.

Someone posted a quad copter dealie with a camera that was around $60.

I don't visit any other forums, so I don't really know where else I would have seen it. Does anyone recall seeing this? Maybe I'm losing my mind.

Selling my iMac and getting this to replace it.

Mac Mini 2014 midrange

LG 34" 34UM94 UHD

Samsung 840 Evo 250GB SSD

Anker 7-port USB 3.0 hub

USB 3.0 SSD enclosure

Thunderbolt cable

Merkur Long Handle and 100 Personna blades

And a Lamy Safari Fountain Pen just because.

This is pretty much what I have been thinking about doing for some time now. I was waiting to see if Apple would update the Thunderbolt displays.

I have a 27" iMac and keep having problems with this ghosting type thing in the corners of the screen. I had the same problem with my previous iMac and the Apple guy told me it was dust and I should keep an air purifier close, which I have done. But the new one still has the problem. I have Apple Care and can get the problem fixed, but it's just going to happen again probably.

The only thing that is keeping me from making the jump now is that the RAM is not user replaceable on the new Minis from my understanding.

I really want one of these too. I have the first Paperwhite and now have a little crack in my screen so I'm in the market. Would you say that it's worth the extra $70'ish over the Paperwhite 2?

Now that I know they are available in-store, I'll probably have one by week's end. I refrained from purchasing on Amazon due to the delivery date being so far away.

My last noteworthy purchase was an orange Race Face single chainring. I have 1x9 shifters on my fat bike, but had two chainrings on the front and was having problems with the chain slipping. Feels so much better. I'm going to be replacing the cranks soon as well.

That is very similar to what I saw. Not sure if it is the same one, but I will look further into it tomorrow on my computer. Thank you!

I assumed the camera on something sub-$100 wouldn't be too amazing, but I think it would be pretty cool to get one just to try out. A friend and I were on a bike ride the other day and we were talking about how cool it would be to fly one in that particular area.

Though, I'll probably buy a GoPro soon, so it may be a good idea to just buy one that holds a GoPro and buy them separately.

Thank you again :)

Yes yes yes, I'm a sell out for buying Oakley's.

They are quite cool though. Bloody prescription lenses got a fortune though.
