After much messing up by UPS, the Lacie Arrived, I'm concerned about the state of the so called "Re-wrap" that delayed delivery by a day..

If UPS consider this to be good packing, then I wouldn't trust them with my stuff.

The drive box itself was undamaged, with all seals intact. I'm allowing it my usual hour to warm up before plugging it in, and I really hope it works...don't want to send the darn thing back as I realy need it today.

Just bought my first Mac Computer!!

iMac 20" mid 2007 with 10.9.2, 3 GB RAM, 2 GHz Core 2 Duo, and 250 GB HD

Your first Mac? You've got two other Mac's listed in your signature. Or do you mean your first Intel Mac?

Well, as suspected, the Lacie was DOA, and although their CS was excellent, I happened upon the Seagate 7200 in the photo..Last in stock.

£129.00, so although it meant a taxi to collect, I still come out ahead...Assuming this one actually works...

Well, what do you know? It does...Speeds are good too. I guess the downside is the cheapy plastic enclosure, but it was cheap..I doubt you'd find 4TB of storage at that price...store's original retail ( if you believe such things ) was £199. either way, it's been tested, throws no errors and is now doing the job I wanted it for...backing up my media library...Drive is designed to run 24/7 too which the Lacie wasn't so I guess in a way despite all the hassle, it's worked out well.

My last purchase was two decals. One to fit the back of my iPhone and one that is supposed to fit on the Apple on my MBP, but i'm going to put it on the black pick guard that I also recently purchased for my Martin LXM (which is recently purchased as well, but I don't think I posted it here).

The glasses for the pick guard (the one on the MBP) are white, but they didn't have a photo of the white ones and I don't have my pick guard yet to take a picture.

Also,I know there's a few people here who like to buy shoes as much as I do, so I thought i'd share in case anyone was interested.

Nike.com has an extra 20% off clearance items until March 6th.

Ha, time for clarification. One that wasn't handed down for free. The Mac Mini is no longer around and the iBook is so painfully slow it's not worth doing anything on. I got those both from my older brother.

This was purchased and belongs to me! Guess I should update the siggy. :)

Cheers

Since my PS3 died after my daughter turned in on and let it run for 3 days, I went with the Xbox One TitanFall bundle. I also purchased a 12 month Xbox Live Gold membership and a rechargable Lithium Ion battery for the controller. I will be picking up BF4 tonight after work.

Last Major Purchase was a MacBook Pro with Retina Display, but I also picked up a Tech21 Impact Shell for the 5s to try out, however the tech21 is stuck in processing.

The MacBook Pro is a nice upgrade over my secondary computer (MacBook Air 11) however, my 15 inch Retina will still be my main computer.

I can't even begin to imagine why anyone would need three laptops? How do you use them all?

I can easily imagine that and I could work with 3 too if I could.

15" rMBP - just functions as a desktop replacement and doesn't move anywhere (you know unless you need all that true power anywhere else)

13" rMBP - for quite powerful tasks "on the road"

11" MBA - couch computer because iPad doesn't cut it

To be honest I have a PC Laptop and never touch it. iMac or iPad works great for me. Can't imagine ever getting another one.

Ah, no, I sold the Air. The small MacBook Pro is my out and about laptop, used for word, internet, etc. The Air was replaced by the small Pro. The bigger MacBook Pro is my editing machine, use for photography and video editing.

I also dont see the use, as well as the 3 iphones and 5 ipods.
All of the iPods are old ones, I collect them. The three iPhones I know is a bit outrageous but it doesn't cost me anything (thank you subsidies) and I use them all.

I have iMac, iPad, and MBP. I had the iPad 2, and gave it to my mom after she bought the Air for herself, :D. Since owning an iPad, my laptop was on its stand in my room for a good majority of the time. iPad worked so much better for me around the house, so I decided to move my MBP to my restaurant here, where it is used much more frequently.

it's been a while since I posted in this thread, So today I decided to change the saddle on my Giant Talon 2, the original is like a razor Blade and caused a few eye watering moments, so I decided on a softer option, thankfully I know the guy at the local bike shop who cut a good deal on the new one, and yes thats a model Volcano in the background, Daughters school project.

Good luck with the xbox ONE, ive seen some video of TitanFall, it looks sick,
I almost sold the PS4 to get the xbox just for TitanFall and Forza, enjoy :)
