A popcorn popper and some green coffee beans...not unrelated.
Excellent! I'm looking forward to hearing about the results.
Two for $13? Geez great price...
Very cool. I hope it does the job for you. Like SBG, I'll be really interested in how the roasts come out.
I thought the price was pretty amazing...definitely a reasonable price for some nifty looking glasses.
Enjoy the 17 year old Macallan; the single glass you posted (the 'Glencairn Whiskey Tasting Glass') looks most impressively elegant.
I understand (and to an extent - an extent a lit limited) the fact that all of the coffee and coffee and espresso equipment in your home precludes space for much else; but, no booze chez toi? No booze at all, no private cellar? Is this a residue of the strange US attitude to alcohol or just private choice?
Coffee and decent wine, (and yes, whiskey and cognac) tend to appear, albeit slowly, in my wake.
When home fairly recently, I was offered a bottle of a cognac that was a grade above 'XO'. I blush at how easily I was persuaded that this was a most necessary purchase.
On this topic, the recently reintroduced 'Yellow Spot' (12 year old pot still whiskey) is an unusually smooth and elegant taste, which I bought a number of, when home a few months ago, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
As the output is small, it is relatively hard to lay hands on a bottle, but can be tracked down with a bit of perseverance. (And a wallet to hand).
A popcorn popper and some green coffee beans...not unrelated.
I just learned about roasting beans with a whirly pop (which I own and rarely use). Super intrigued even though I am trying to not walk into another hobby that pretty much takes over me.
Hope you post about it in that coffee thread.
The past 2 days I bought myself an 32GB IPad Mini with Retina Display and a DELL U2713HM as a second screen to my IMac late 2012.
I was sick of it waiting for a new Thunderbolt display from Apple and I didn't want to pay the 1000 Dollars for an outdated technology.

Best regards,

This is good to hear! I just ordered one of these off Amazon after giving it a feel at OfficeMax (followed by a heavy dose of antibacterial soap). It will be connected to my work laptop (running Windows 7 Enterprise), so I'm not concerned about the lack of gesture compatibility.
Also for work, I bought a Dell 2155cn as I have to do a lot of printing from home and needed a new color laser anyway.

I also picked up an Elephant Drive FW400/USB2.0 external enclosure from Other World Computing (heavily discounted - originally built by Carbon Computing) to put my WD Green 2TB drive in for an additional backup drive.

Got a new ride over the weekend with a lot better gas milage than the ride it replaced (a Jeep Wrangler). As an added bonus, people will stop waving at me on the street just because we have the same kind of car.
Jack Johnson
Don the Jack Johnson for all your summertime fun. This paper straw fedora is made of 3BU shantung paper straw. It's first handmade, rolled and glazed in Japan, its country of origin. We then hand-block it at our American hat factory in Massachusetts, a fourth-generation family owned factory that is world renown for their high quality and craftsmanship since 1919. Shantung paper is known for its strength and being the world's strongest paper. It's no wonder that Jack Johnson is the quintessential summer hat designed with quality and wearability in mind: it's classic, durable, lightweight and sure to stand the test of time. Features a 2" brim, 3 3/4" teardrop crown, and 1 1/2" custom golden striped band with traditional bow and our Goorin pin. Unlined and finished with a sweatband for maximum comfort.
£150 for 4TB!, i must look at that! Thanks for posting that one!
This is the Glencairn "Official Whiskey Tasting Glass"...so dubbed by The Folks Who Decide Such Things".
It's super inexpensive, properly shaped to capture the bouquet to enhance the tasting of fine Scotch, and is, IMO, a beautiful crystal glass.
I would use it on occasions, along with the Baccarat tumbler purchased recently. Don't ask why I would do that...I have no idea!
And, no, I haven't even received my order of Scotch yet, so it can't be blamed on excessive consumption...just being terminally strange!

Some parts to finally make the entire suspension fully adjustable (except for a nice pair of $8k Moton shocks, Koni single adjustable yellows custom valved will have to do)
2xpair for rear camber and toe adjustment:

Rear trailing arm poly bushings a touch softer than what I have since I will be tweaking them with the above adjusters :

Rear subframe VERY stiff poly bushings to eliminate most subframe movement at 140mph at Fontana and other high stress tracks:

Now I just need an enclosed V-nose 24ft trailer because I sold my open trailer...

What are these called? They look great!
Thanks!
They're the Nike Free TR 4 iD. Maria Sharapova's custom design.
Was thinking about getting the official Olympus Premium Leather Half-case for my PEN E-P5, but a price-tag of £125 is ridiculous.
I read great reviews of the Korean-made Gariz cases, so sent off my £50 (+ $20 UPS) to South Korea last week. 3 working days later, this beauty lands on my doorstep. The quality is superb, and the metal base houses a flip-out loop for carrying the camera 'shotgun-style'.
The thickness of the base adds a few mm to the height of the camera which, when combined with the leather around the handgrip, gives a very sturdy hold on the camera. The inside is plush to protect the camera from scratches.
