Agreed! I got my brother a bottle of Fine Oak 15 because he is (and I am) a bourbon fan, and the 15 is aged in bourbon barrels. He hasn't opened it yet, though, since he's saving it for whatever reason.

That's the nice thing about bourbon, at least - you don't have to spend much to get great quality.

I was very surprised to see a bottle of Macallan 30 at a small local liquor store. I think it was $1700.

The Macallan has never been shy about charging an arm and a leg...

Wait...that's a lot like Apple!:p :D

There is a 40 yr old bottle (The Balvenie) at the store down the street from me. They want $4000.

Got one of these for my wife. She's been picking up quite a few side jobs with local community health groups to redesign some logos and documents. What started out as a hobby (her occupation is as a public school teacher) is generating some nice side income so we figured it's time to step into the digital age!

Needed something to get my biking stuff organized. This should do the trick.

So should this.

Not sure why the bike on top looks so much bigger than the bottom one.

----------

Got myself:

-'14 GT Premium Coupe
-Sterling Gray Metallic
-401A (black/cashmere)
-Brembo Package
-Comfort Package
-Shaker Pro Audio

Thought about a glass roof, but decided against it since I just don't think it's worth the crazy $2k.

Can't wait!

You won't be disappointed.

-'13 GT Premium Coupe 6M
- Performance White
- 400A (black/black)
- Comfort Package
- Shaker 500
- Tape Stripe Delete

I added the Brembo wheels, JBA X pipe and Flowmaster Outlaw axlebacks. Looks great, and sounds great!

Be sure to post pictures when you get it. Had they had the Sterling Grey when I got mine, that would have been the color I chose.

Buying in bulk saves money! I've been buying the 3.5KG bags at £22, so this is a big saving...They have biscuits all the time, with fish as a supplement one day, and a special pate the next so it doesn't take them long to go through a bag.

Will do, love the white too…just don't see many GTs in white and I'm a sucker for a clean white car…it was my second choice behind gray but I've had a couple white cars and never a gray one so I thought I'd do something different this time around. I keep waffling on the glass roof, but I see a con for every pro I can think of and at the end of the day I'm still left with a $2k price tag for it so thus far I'm still planning on passing on it…figure I've got a few more days to make changes to my order. I was also set against the rearview camera and the sensors (I think you should get both or neither so that's like a grand) but have kind of waffled on those too the last 24 hours. I like the clean look without and I don't really need them since I seldom if ever am parallel parking, but they would be nice to have. I think though that since I want to keep this car a LONG time, I'm trying to cut down on as much electrical stuff as possible since it's all stuff that could break later on.

How do you like that file hub? I just ordered that and a 10000mAH external battery pack...

Love it a lot. Once I got over the documentation or lack their off and just jumped in and set up the device, found that it can do a lot of things to make my life easier.

My favorite features

1. SD card sits flush in the device. That means I can take this anywhere without it being obtrusive.

2. I can stream to my appletv without turning on a computer (good because my mac pro sucks up power like nobody's business)

3. It powers my external harddrives that require power (mypassport) thus allowing me to watch movies and listen to music untethered

4. I have been able to use this as a replacement for my apple camera connection kit. No wifi is required because it generates its own.

5. I can use this as a file server on my mac. Basically it has connected to everything I have thrown at it.

I just purchased musicmount app ($4 from the appstore for both my iPhone and my iPad). The interface is excellent - wonderful, clean, and has the "Add to Up Next" Feature that I LOVE in itunes. It lets me play music from the ravpower file hub in a native music app but also allows me to play music that is already on my device. Interface is great and support has been attentive so far! Kind of hard to set up, but I am really liking the results.

Picked up a Logitech Performance MX mouse today. Was using a Microsoft Arc Touch mouse but I was continually getting more and more annoyed by it. The Logitech is probably the best mouse I've ever used. It feels amazing in the hands, the scrolling is buttery smooth, and it's simply awesome! Highly recommended.

This is good to hear! I just ordered one of these off Amazon after giving it a feel at OfficeMax (followed by a heavy dose of antibacterial soap). It will be connected to my work laptop (running Windows 7 Enterprise), so I'm not concerned about the lack of gesture compatibility.

Also for work, I bought a Dell 2155cn as I have to do a lot of printing from home and needed a new color laser anyway.

I also picked up an Elephant Drive FW400/USB2.0 external enclosure from Other World Computing (heavily discounted - originally built by Carbon Computing) to put my WD Green 2TB drive in for an additional backup drive.

This is the Glencairn "Official Whiskey Tasting Glass"...so dubbed by The Folks Who Decide Such Things".

It's super inexpensive, properly shaped to capture the bouquet to enhance the tasting of fine Scotch, and is, IMO, a beautiful crystal glass.

I would use it on occasions, along with the Baccarat tumbler purchased recently. Don't ask why I would do that...I have no idea!:p

And, no, I haven't even received my order of Scotch yet, so it can't be blamed on excessive consumption...just being terminally strange!:p

Have you tried Glenfiddich 18 year? It's my favorite so far.

I have tried Glenfiddich...quite a while ago and I liked it a lot. But I still liked the Macallan 18 the best, although apparently it's not available in the US any more...so that's why I went for the Macallan 17 Fine Oak....we'll see how that is.

(For the price...it had better be good!)

Wonder if you can answer this question Peapody. Can I use this in conjunction with my iPad/iPhone and O Player/ Good Player to AirPlay this to my Apple TV? I bought it to experiment with. Thanks.

I am a guest in the land of smiles
The past 2 days I bought myself an 32GB IPad Mini with Retina Display and a DELL U2713HM as a second screen to my IMac late 2012.

I was sick of it waiting for a new Thunderbolt display from Apple and I didn't want to pay the 1000 Dollars for an outdated technology.
