I like the '14 betters than the new one too, the new one looks too European to me and I have a German car, it's just not what mustangs are supposed to be. Same with the camaro I don't like what they did with the lights.

I agree, but on the same token I think it's the direction the car needs to go, and the Camaro should (but likely won't) follow suit, as should the Challenger (which Chrysler seems to have just plain given up on, unfortunately). I think the Mustang's future is pretty bright.

I really want to love the Challenger, and it's the R/T Classic that I like the best with the R/T stripes down the side (and I HATE stripes). I actually would've went all out with a Plum Crazy Purple one with white stripes and black interior, but while that car is cool and is a really nice homage to the original (whoever designed the 4 door abomination with the Charger namesake should be fired as it's a disgrace to the '68-'70 cars and his job should summarily be given to he who designed the modern Challenger), it's just a boulevard cruiser that is way, way too fat and bloated and it should be ashamed of itself the way it gets owned hard by both the Camaro and the Mustang. Not to mention you would never know the difference between a minivan and a Challenger sitting inside it, the interior is as boring as it could possibly be and isn't sporty whatsoever. The Challenger is supposedly finally getting a facelift for 2015 but from what I've heard it isn't much.

Camaro really just does nothing for me. I have a beautiful 1990 Camaro as a summer toy that I've had for fifteen years anyway, but that aside I just have never gotten into the look of the Camaro, nor the interior.

While the Mustang may be the most common of the three and while a purple Challenger may have turned more heads, I think there's a reason there are so many Mustangs…I think it's drop dead gorgeous in and out, and being able to change the gauge lights and ambient lighting between like 10 different colors and having track apps to measure performance stats is really cool…I can honestly say it's the first car I've ever owned that lets me check the cylinder head temperature. When I think of the Mustang I just think of how good of stuff Ford is building now and how the Stang is right up there too, and how you can feel from things like track apps that the Mustang is designed and engineered by genuine car guys who really want to make the best car.

I agree about the challenger, I actually really liked the 2010-2013 camaro don't really like the light changes to the new one but the inside is nice. I think if they added the new tech and inside feel of the '15 mustang to the '14 body it would be perfect. I want to see one in person cause it'll probably change my whole feeling about it. I had a 2010 stang and it was a great car, just didn't like the power to gas ratio I was getting. If it had the power of the '11 and later it would have been fine but I have the 4.0 V6 and it burned gas and has very little power. Anyway enjoy the car, I'm sure you'll have fun with it.

Somewhere Back In The Long Ago
Was in desperate need of a cheap fast USB 3 4TB external to back up my movie and media collections.

The Lacie has a Seagate in it as Seagate now own Lacie, but I'm hoping I get a good one...It has a two year warranty, so fingers crossed it doesn't crap out.

I was going to buy a CIT enclosure and put a WD red in it, but CIT enclosures are out of stock everywhere, and nobody knows when they will have stock.

The Porsche looks nice, but I'm more concerned about reliability....:)

Powerful gun in a small package!

I imagine it will be, being it's a .40 S&W in a such a small and lightweight frame. I need to get to a range soon so I can get some good training done with it.

I haven't had any booze in the house for years (literally)...but decided it was time for a treat.

This is my very favorite single malt scotch, I bought the Baccarat tumbler to honor the fine scotch...

No booze? I thought that was why you drank all the coffee!

I've not had any booze in 2014 yet. Really missing a cold one on a Friday night.

mmmmm, delicious. I think my current favorite is Talisker. Hmmmm, maybe I should visit the liquor store sometime soon....;)

Talisker is a very nice dram.

I haven't received my order yet, but I read the reviews of the Macallan 17 Fine Oak. I used to drink the Macallan 18, but that is apparently not available in the US any more, according to one review that I read. The 18 is available in the UK. I looked everywhere for the 18 in the US and couldn't find it. This Fine Oak collection is new, and the reviews are impressive, to say the least. The difference between the 18 and the Fine Oak collection is the 18 is aged in Spanish Sherry casks, and the Fine Oak is aged in both Spanish Sherry and Bourbon casks.

The only downside is that it is catch-your-breath expensive!

But what the hell...life is too short to drink bad whiskey!:p

Not that it excuses this incredible bit of self indulgence...but remember the $=£ conversion.

As wildly expensive as it is, £122 = $202 USD. It's not quite that expensive in the US...but still a very occasional treat!

BTW: That's the Macallan 18...not the one that I bought, the Macallan 17 Fine Oak.

Really the 18 isn't available anymore? Hmm, that's surprising!

I've tasted the 18 and 17 together, and they are quite different from each other. Both are mighty fine, but I find that the price is just too much. If I'm going to spend that much (once every third blue moon), I prefer to go for a Talisker 18 or one of the distiller's edition.

Ahh what can I say, I love what they're doing over there on the Isle of Skye. Beautiful balance!

It's only what I read in one of the reviews...but I couldn't find it online anywhere.

Definitely don't take my comment to the bank...:p

Agreed! I got my brother a bottle of Fine Oak 15 because he is (and I am) a bourbon fan, and the 15 is aged in bourbon barrels. He hasn't opened it yet, though, since he's saving it for whatever reason.

That's the nice thing about bourbon, at least - you don't have to spend much to get great quality.

I was very surprised to see a bottle of Macallan 30 at a small local liquor store. I think it was $1700.

--------

Anyway, I purchased this blazer from J. Crew today. Thanks to their sale and my $40 gift card, it was $140 instead of $375. I hope it fits.
