Thanks!:D I hope so, too.

Take care of yourself...I hope you've seen a neurologist about the concussion. It's not to be taken lightly.

I hope that awful headache resolves soon, Mate!:D

A New Englander that says mate?! ;) that's uncommon
Haven't seen a neurologist but I had a CT scan over a week ago that was fine, I'll be going to the doctor tomorrow if I don't feel up for class. Last semester of college and I've missed nearly two weeks...

Just a pretentious affectation!:p

Good you had the scan. I know missing class is a pain in the ass, but more important to take care of yourself now.

I hope you feel 100% soon...:D

I picked up a Nikon D7100 today, open boxed for only £525. RRP is around £839 (although Nikon are doing a £100 off spring cash back promotional offer), so saved around £200 which can go towards my glass fund.

Nice work:) Where from please?

I've always wanted to try "real" absinthe...which is only available in the US in watered down form, and with only 10mg/kg thujone...the "active" ingredient.

However, the stuff available in Europe is 35mg/kg...the "original" strength.

So...I ordered this from the UK. From a bunch of reading,I found that it is illegal to sell anything more than 10mg/kg thujone in the US, but not illegal to possess it.

So we'll see what happens at Customs!

Shouldn't have a problem at all. It just isn't legal for sale here with that much content. Perfectly ok to import it as long as you are getting 10 bottles or less as I recall. I have imported a few times and gotten some really fantastic stuff. But be warned, if you can drink a good bit of whatever you usually drink, be prepared to be put on your ass. It is probably the closest thing we will ever get to a Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster.

Happy drinking!

Ah, yes. This mirrors my earlier described (but, ah, transcendental) experiences with this strange beverage of myth and memory. Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. Indeed.

Well, I don't remember being put on my ass, as you so eloquently describe it (but I was sitting down, remaining rooted, it seemed easier); however, I do recall the blissful sledgehammer sensation, and, as we have both used the exact same analogy, I think we have told my friend Shrink what he can expect from this beverage. So, happy drinking, my friend.

Thanks for taking the time to provide the information.:D

I did a good deal of reading prior to ordering to assure myself that I would not be receiving a friendly visit from a friendly Fed! As you point out, in the US absinthe is legal to possess for personal consumption, and "absinthe" can be sold here as long as it has less than 10mg/L of thujone. I recently read that there are many brands of "absinthe" sold here, but some with no thujone content.

I'm a very modest drinker, generally one drink at a sitting. So while I hope for la fée verte hit...I'll likely be able to walk after consumption! :p

Thanks for the good wishes, mon amie. I'll report back with the results of imbibing the the stuff!:D

After been thinking during months about purchasing a Mac, i decided to do the investment. Haven't use a Mac Mini since those slow Intel Core Solo Mac minis way back in 2007. Im glad to see the new Minis are quite powerful today.

:D, hope i could get later a Macbook air or Pro.

A mini display to hdmi cable like this:

My MacBook is connected to a external monitor which is showing me strange colored lines when watching a video, so it's time to replace it.

The post above reminded me I wanted to order an extra cable to keep in the car and a power brick to keep at the office.

Ordered directly from store.apple.com

I was a good decade younger for my first encounter with the Green Fairy, and thought I could handle more than I could. When all was said and done, I had a clear head, but I was in no shape to actually walk, grievous physical injury would have occurred had I actually tried to walk. Had to fall out of my chair and crawl to bed, lol. But now I know to take it a little easier and enjoy the ride.

Congrats... I'm still using my slow original mac mini (2006)... on it's second drive.

I really need a new one!
