No, I sure did not, but I picked it up inside the base so I did not pay taxes on it...

Ugh. I should have probably went to bed instead of posting last night. My bad.
What's to hate? It's a really nice, affordable BMW. They are very popular here in L.A.

So what's the significance of all the absinthe paraphernalia? What do the spoons do, etc.?
I had absinthe at the bar a few times when I lived in Japan man was that nasty. Definitely a different buzz than being drunk, that's for sure.
The spoons are part of the absinthe preparation ritual. The absinthe (1 oz) is poured into the glass. The spoon is placed across the mouth of the glass and a sugar cube is placed on the spoon. Then ice water is slowly drizzled over the sugar, melting it into the absinthe. Usually about 3-4 ounces of water is added, giving a 3-4:1 ratio of water to absinthe.
There are many different kinds of absinthe, with many different tastes, although the taste of anise is usually dominant.

Interesting the times I had it it was just a straight shot out of the bottle, lol.
Pardon me
While one can drink it neat, using the absinthe ritual, or in mixed drinks...I'm surprised that it was served straight up in an absinthe bar (unless you requested it) as, it is my understanding, it is considered "improper" by serious absintheurs to forgo the ritual.
I can understand that the taste was,,,ah,,,nasty, as both the dilution with water and the sugar help reduce the nastiness.

Definitely like where this is going.
Then you pretty much saved the same amount of money, or close to it. Smart move, hope you enjoy it. Titanfall is pretty damn epic.
Word of warning though. Those chat adaptors are crap, you may go thru a few of them before they'll work. I went thru 3 of them before the controller update would take. Even after the update my controller ran into disconnect issues. Hopefully you won't go thru the same. I'm still working with Xbox Support and Turtle Beach on solving these issues.
