It's actually pretty neat. It's not like a normal juicer with blades, it uses a cold-press system so more juice is extracted from pulp and leaving drier pulp (basically bone dry pulp). The slow is referring to Hurom's patented Slow Squeezing Technology (SST) gently squeezes ingredients, preserving natural taste & nutrients lost by high-speed juicers that grind and crush. Slow Squeezing Technology also retains heat-sensitive nutrients such as Vitamins A and C, and live enzymes. The only real issue is that produce must be cut up into manageable sizes so the parts dont jam, but it really isn't that big of a deal (i.e. can't put a whole carrot into it). It's an awesome juicer and I love it!!
