I proposed it but she didn't like the price or the wait. Battery has been bothering her on the 6 for a few months.

i proposed 8 plus and she said it looks same as my 7 plus. so its better to go for X. so now i will be ordering two Xs

Next I'll be buying a year's worth of Ramen to offset recent indulgences like these.

I know the feeling. I just bought three pounds each of chickpeas and lentils figuring they and a few jars of assorted herbs and spices will go well with the rice and pasta over winter... hope there's enough money left to spring for a WiFi-friendly scale so I can step on that upstairs and have my laptop downstairs chart how much my iPad upgrade cost me besides just $$ for the iPad.

Well, on the bright side you gained and iPad and lost weight. Isn't that a deal everyone would like?

On topic:
This week I splurged on two CDs: Chris Thile, Yo-Yo Ma and some other guy whose name I should remember (or look up) playing Bach. Then, today, ordered the new Cat Stevens album. I'd order a third but the pre-order isn't available: R.E.M. just announced the 25th anniversary super-crazy-ass-you're-old-enough-to-be-nostalgic-for-something-you-swear-was-recorded-yesterday-because-you-are-stuck-in-the-past edition of Automatic for the People. A serious contender for my favorite album, like, ever... d00d. Not only did I grab it during a midnight record store release but I then re-bought the original deluxe edition in a little wood box... then the DVD Audio with a 5.1 mix. Now, finally, I get it in a brand-spanking new amazing Atmos super-duper-surround mix, a disc of live recordings (most of which I have from B-sides), and a disc of demos that I'm excited about now but will listen to once or twice. All for just $85 SRP. I won't be able to afford a scale, so maybe you can let me borrow yours.

Off-topic:
Wrong thread, but as long as you kid about tracking weight... I discovered that sometime between my last two doctor's visits iOS 10.3.3 decided to delete a few years' worth of weight, blood pressure and other basic vitals. I suppose I could do a few backup/restore cycles of archived backups and lose everything else in between to recover that data but...

Back on-topic: I've never been one to spend based on mood... until this year. I'm discovering what I already knew and tried to un-know. It don't work.

Not how it will work.. rice and beans are decent protein together but they tend to let you gain weight not lose it. What's getting lost from my budget is stuff like chicken... what will end up on my waistline is rice. Even brown rice takes a toll...

I did drive by a place the other day where the owners every year buy and raise one beefer that will end up in their freezer later on during winter. He's still out there trimming their grass, looking nicely fattened up on some grain too, no doubt, and having a nice Indian summer, so far. I wouldn't steal a freezer full of beef on the hoof, of course, but if some chicken walks in front of my car at one of these four-way stop signs out in the boondocks some time,,, I might have to think about adopting it to keep it from getting taken by some other predator at nightfall. It's not like I drive around with a cage in my car or anything though LOL.

Coming from a regularly sized 6, I except it to be a huge upgrade especially since I am using it more and more for gaming since the past year or so. Wasn't fully convinced by the X, but looking forward to its updates in the coming years.

Today's purchase (besides a Wegman's hamburger)... nada. Well, I spotted an SACD of a piano duo performing Smetana's orchestral piece "Ma Vlast" yesterday while searching for Cat Stevens' new release. It's only $6 but I'm trying to be good.

This week's purchases keep dribbling in and today I'm importing Yo-Y Ma, Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer's Bach Trios into iTunes (12.6, which you'll have to pry from my cold dead hands, thank you very much Mr. Cook!). Mr. Bezos cheaped out on the shipping package so the digipak is bent to [heck]. No biggie. Mr. Stevens should arrive from El Amazon tomorrow. If that's in bad shape I'll have a kanipshin since it contains his drawings.

Alt. Protein? What has the world come to!
Rice & Waistlines: It's not fair when even "boring" foods leave their mark.

You know, sometimes you describe life up there and I cringe. Other times, like now, it sounds quite nice. Except the predatory dumpster diver.

1 day green juice clean etc. and blue milk! from Urban Remedy

Gosh, my Star Wars geek can be ridiculous sometimes :p (and the blue magic is spirulina and E3-live)

Felt like I needed to get back on the juice cleanse program and will be spreading these out over two days (supplementing with product and water here.) Now I hope my SW geek did not shoot me in the foot by choosing this over chocolate banana...

Very nice. I didn't realize it was out (I thought 9/25). I'll have to make a trip to the ol' Best Buy. It'll sit for a while though as I'm not very far into Zelda Breath of the Wild, and I'll likely also finish (for the umpteenth time) Ocarina of Time as well before I start another 3DS game.

Metroid came out on the 15, I wandered into the local Target after work and they had it in stock. This will be my first 2D Metroid. I managed to stay away from buying amiibos so far, but to my amazement they had the special amiibo as well, so i picked them up.

Your first 2D Metroid? Wow. I'm either old, a nerd or both (let's be honest it's both) but my first was the seminal Super Metroid. I can't recommend that game enough, and it is on the eshop if you're on a "new" model 3ds or 2ds.

Well, i'll admit i'm both :) . I had a Genesis at the time of SuperMetroid so never played that ( i probably should pick up an SNESc for that). The first Metroid game I played was Prime1 (still one of my all-time favorites).

Food from Urban Remedy including one of sister's favorites (I am going to sneak that in...) and sigh Office 365 - I have to, most jobs demand intermediate Word and Excel. I hope I can cancel that subscription before this time next year.
