Actually, I had never heard of them until last year when I treated myself to an outrageously self-indulgent (but superb) mp3 player, the SP1000 from Astell & Kern.

Despite the mouthwatering price, it did not come with an external charger; I phoned the company where I had bought (or was ordering) the device from, and they checked with A&K, who, in turn, recommended Anker, specifying the actual piece of equipment, and informing me that this is what their own staff used when taking their devices out on demos.

guess they are pretty popular here, especially on amazon. i have a couple of USB charging hubs and several battery packs from them, all high quality.

I’ve had my USB and SD card reader made by then for years. Matches the iMac I bought it to go with nicely. I’ve retired the iMac but still using the hub.

As I cancelled the SE order (mom wanted a bigger iPhone), I got her a silver 6s+ through Verizon (because she did not want me spending lots of money on it).

This is her first smartphone and will only be used as a phone for now.

She loves the silver color and the feel of it. We’re just waiting for her phone # to port over to set it up.



I miss the 6s+...the feel, the headphone jack... etc.

However, I will just buy my iPhones at going forward. The bs and hoops the carriers make you go through is just ridiculous. This was the second time Verizon store reps made me want to punch them.

$35 AirPod knockoffs. Surprisingly great quality for the price; pairing is the usual chore without the W1, but you can play/pause, invoke Siri, fast forward, rewind, and change the volume without choosing only two functions.

Genuinely considering spending a few more weeks using these and making some sort of product comparison video, but I'd try to script everything and include many animations.

I thought Asphyx were my last long lived death metal band from the genre’s heyday, and while I knew Jeff Becerra was playing live again with a new incarnation of Pissessed, I had no idea Possessed were writing new material, especially after 31 years.

Um, this track No More Room in Hell and a demo version of Abandoned makes all these new metal bands sound as uninteresting as they are.

I swear it’s 1985 again.
