cool. If you are building a wall how do you figure out how much stone you need just out of curiosity.
Very good question! It’s a bit of a dark art. So the guy who is building it starts Monday. Then next week I have another delivery pencilled in. However if I don’t need anymore, or more than I’d planned (another 2 ton), I’ll just tweak the delivery.

In a few weeks can you post a sort of review for us? I for one kind interested in one.
I will try to.

My immediate impressions though are that if you are coming from a Switch or any other console, the fans will shock you. First, that there are fans, and second how quickly they spin up. The fan noise is noticeable, and like I said if you are coming from consoles rather surprising. Also, there's a button everywhere on this thing. Picking it up, you will hit a button somewhere, since there are paddle triggers and more.

Also, remember to check the compatibility listing for games. I myself got Steam just before I went console exclusive. So of my limited small game library, only 2 games are Steam compatible. The others like X Com or Star Wars Old Republic, are not guaranteed to work. Even a newer game like WWE 2K22 won't work. So don't go in assuming you'll be playing any PC game you can imagine, it may not work.

I think the real appeal of this thing is it's like the original PS Vita. Where on the face of it it's a cool seeming portable gaming machine. Digging deeper though, ( I've been looking at videos lately where people are turning into a desktop option to do other things. Such as working as retro gaming system, or working with other store fronts besides Steam ) one can find it does so much more than expected. Which makes it a machine that can do any number of other things you may want, besides play Steam games.

There might not be much steam os games but if you google online you will see some people have had success running windows on it and games that way. https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/how-to/install-windows-steam-deck I take no responsibility if your steam deck explodes sending unicorns and glitter everywhere.

@Relentless Power: How much costs such a thing?
Factory new, the dual motor base Model S is approximately $100,000 before taxes, and can range up to $130,000 depending on your selected options. (The Model S ‘Plaid’ with 3 drive motors is over $140,000). But that’s not what I paid, I sold my 392 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, so that reduced the price significantly.

Jealous. If my 2020 Highlander Platinum AWD was paid off, and the other car, I would jump on the X or Y Tesla. I have a mental block on buying a car that is almost as much as a house and can't push myself to do it. I'd use the HL for the down payment though. Carvana said its still worth 44k, and I owe 37k. Oh well, I'll pay it off by then Tesla may have newer models/features. $1000-1200 payment irks me. LOL! I can easily afford it, just don't want too.

Well, I actually don’t have a payment on this vehicle, but I understand that not everybody can be in that situation. That’s one of my methods when it comes to owning cars, as I would never want to have a car note with a payment of a $1000, that’s just lunacy. However, It also did help that I was able to capitalize on selling my 392 Charger Scat Pack for an additional ~$14,000 on top of the MSRP due to the inflation on the market with very low miles, one owner and in mint condition.

However, EV’s in general need to come down in price, but that’s not going to happen for quite some time, especially with manufacturing/part suppliers not able to meet the demand, but we’ll get there eventually.

And Carvana is great. I haven’t personally worked with them directly, but I know others who have, and have had great experiences with the seamless transactions, and with pick up/drop off.
