Well, I actually don’t have a payment on this vehicle, but I understand that not everybody can be in that situation. That’s one of my methods when it comes to owning cars, as I would never want to have a car note with a payment of a $1000, that’s just lunacy. However, It also did help that I was able to capitalize on selling my 392 Charger Scat Pack for an additional ~$14,000 on top of the MSRP due to the inflation on the market with very low miles, one owner and in mint condition.

However, EV’s in general need to come down in price, but that’s not going to happen for quite some time, especially with manufacturing/part suppliers not able to meet the demand, but we’ll get there eventually.

And Carvana is great. I haven’t personally worked with them directly, but I know others who have, and have had great experiences with the seamless transactions, and with pick up/drop off.
And, to confirm, have you had an Electrician come in to install an outlet for the Tesla charging connection, or did you already have that?

Agreed. If they want to get more people to buy them, they need to drop in price by a lot. The more you mass produce the cheaper they are supposed to get. Carvana is about 200 miles from me, but wanted to see what they would offer since I can get a quote from them without having a sales guy bother me. Was just calculating numbers for a Tesla Y.

There's also the impact on the power grid... if everyone in my neighborhood were to replace their fossil fuel vehicles with EVs, the power company could not supply the demand to charge them all... not as they currently are set up... it would require them to invest additional infrastructure to be able to supply sufficient power to the homes in our neighborhood...

Everybody wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die...

Factory new, the dual motor base Model S is approximately $100,000 before taxes, and can range up to $130,000 depending on your selected options. (The Model S ‘Plaid’ with 3 drive motors is over $140,000). But that’s not what I paid, I sold my 392 Dodge Charger Scat Pack, so that reduced the price significantly.
Lame that the car stickered at 69,999 and now is past 100.
I know, inflation, but to increase 30%+ in one year is lunacy.

It also is lacking a lot of the beautiful amenities in other luxury brands and the build quality is still way behind other manufacturers. I have owned 3 Teslas including an S and they revolutionize driving but can't see going back to one until they get their quality and pricing under control.

You will absolutely love it though and congrats on the beauty. Though trading in a 392 is a bit of lunacy for it in my personally, super biased opinion ;)

Congratulations! How's the yoke steering wheel?
There’s an absolute learning curve. Because this is ‘half’ a steering wheel, you can no longer roll the wheel with your hand anymore. Especially when in reverse where you normally would rest your hand at the top of the wheel to maneuver, you can’t do that anymore.

Actually what I’m going to do, is set up a driving course in a parking lot, borrow some construction cones, and just learn to adjust to the steering wheel at slower and higher speeds. Seems like it might be a fun little project, but also puts the driver in a safer position to operate such a dramatic change from the traditional steering wheel.

That will eventually happen, but not installed yet. The total cost is about ~$1000 to run a 240V line for the Tesla wall mount. Plus, I have to shift some other cars around in the spare garage to make a clean path for the line.

No worries. I have a 700+ hp Camaro SS and a 650hp Cobra to play around with anytime I want a V8 fix (See ‘Car Thread’ for those pictures). The 392 Scat, although a great car, doesn’t touch those cars, where compared to a Camaro and Cobra, are one off custom designs that will actually accrue value.:D

Nighthawk® Tri-Band WiFi 6E Router

Not sure that it was worth the extra $. Performance is about equivalent to my ASUS RT-AX88U. It does support 6E so I'm ready for when Apple supports it. Had a terrible time configuring it. Took hours on the phone and 2 months with Netgear Support (which was excellent) to get it working.

A $25k appointment (probably in July) to see Dr Kenny Wilstead, the famous Instagram dentist.

I like the green, but I keep thinking the 14 isn’t that far away.
Same, I’m on the “even” number upgrade year so the 12 was my last upgrade and my next will be 14 but it’s so frustrating because the green colors (Midnight and Alpine) have only come in the odd years. Had alpine been available from launch I may have done a year over year upgrade, but this late in the cycle isn’t ideal. Gorgeous color though, perhaps my favorite of any iPhone model they’ve released.

Think I’ll hold on for the 14. But enjoy your new iPhone.
