I got the same one a week ago and so far I'm loving it. The size is great, and the versatility with the mounts is amazing.

I really like it so far. The fact that it doesn't have a screen takes some getting used to, but the video quality is much better than the SJCAM I had.

I was initial really disappointed because the playback on my phone looked terrible. I read a GP forum post that said if you export it from the GP app to your camera roll it is full quality. That worked and it's been great ever since.

Celestron Nexstar 130 SLT. Think I should now get a T adaptor for my SLR.
Nice. Friend of mine works for Celestron. Do you live somewhere nice and dark to take advantage of it? Too much light pollution where I live.

Plenty of light pollution here (Sydney) but I thin I'll mess about with it until I can get the hang of focussing and then maybe take a trek a few hours out. There's a handy website that shows where light pollution is at it's lowest.

Pulled the trigger on this, should be here in 2-3 weeks! Stoked! Also got the matching NATO strap

Gorgeous watch, well wear, and long may you enjoy wearing it (and do wear it).

I have had an Omega Deville for the past six years, an elegant, watch which resembles those classics from the 50s and 60s, and spent three years before that eyeing it with longing.

Beautiful telescope - enjoy using it - I have long thought to buy one. For now, my binoculars must suffice.

Light pollution and overcast skies, both, alas.

That is a brilliant idea - a website that actually can tell you when light pollution will be an issue.

This site claims to be out of date but handy anyway. http://darksitefinder.com/map/

I've been contemplating getting a telescope, but don't know where to begin. What made you go with this particular one?
Impulse shopping. I know nothing of telescopes and so took a chance. I'm learning that this uses mirrors and not glass. Have nothing else to report other than I have had no clear skies yet (grrrrr) and that the motorised mount is quite cool.

TomTom Runner - Just started running, this is my first GPS Watch. Excited to start using it!

Well I don't know where you reside at but if you're in the Midwestern US (or pretty much anywhere in the US I think) then keep your eyes on the eastern horizon just before dusk. On a clear day (if we ever get one of those) you should be able to see Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn all bunched up. This will end around the 20th and won't be seen again for a decade. I wish you luck. I still haven't seen them, the weather here in OH sucks.

That's unfortunate. We have a cheaper version of Celestron, but have made it out in the cold to see this.

Nice, which exact model are you planning to get?

I was opting for Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 42mm... But after having watched the movie Spectre a while ago, I changed my mind ... Will go for the Spectre Edition of yours : )

Well good luck finding one then ;) The Spectre Edition is sold out across the world and the ones on sale are ridiculously priced ....

I personally wouldn't have opted for a bond version, because i don't like the 007 branding it has all over it, same reason why i didn't go with the aqua terra bond version. However i can replicate the bond look by using the nato strap ;) in the end only enthusiasts will be able to tell the difference by the missing lollipop and the different numbers on the bezel etc.

I live in Turkey and recently the official Omega dealer in Istanbul had one in stock. Because I'm planning to buy towards end of this year, I don't know if they would still have it in stock by then...

I also don't like the Bond branding at all but the good thing about Spectre version is that it does not have a single Bond branding on it ;)
