@Stephen.R - that trench looks like major work to me.

I’ve been having ongoing trouble reading my iPhone (my eyes). So today I picked up an XS Max :(. It’s official...now I must move to Florida wearing those huge wraparound sunglasses and cut in the front of all buffet lines.

Ps - and use the flashlight to read menus.
Don't forget when you get to Florida, to drive very poorly and without regard for anyone else.

A little late to the game, but oh well. Haven’t had a console since I gave away my PS3/XBox 360 6 years when my oldest daughter was born. First thing I did was upgrade to a 2TB SSD. Great thing about getting it this late is that tons of great games for $20 or less. Ended up with 8 or so games for under $200.

Also ended up selling my a7iii and 28-75 2.8 to downgrade to the A6400 and a couple of lenses. Wanted something more compact and I prefer the corner evf. Camera and 4 lenses (18-105 f4, 20mm 2.8 pancake, Sigma 30/56 1.4) fit in that small camera insert which I can throw in a sling bag. Obviously I took a serious downgrade in terms of IQ and iso performance but it pays off for a compact option and better AF. Plus the 18-105 is great for video with the power zoom.

Is the IQ that much of a downgrade? Sometimes it’s not as noticeable in real world situations as some companies make out.

For most situations it’s not that different for my needs, especially since I’m using Sigma 1.4 glass. When comparing APS-C 1.4 glass and FF 1.4 obviously not as close, since a lot of FF 1.4 has creamier bokeh. Also at ISO3200 or higher, the FF is cleaner. I’m shooting mostly at 1600 or lower, so not that huge a deal anymore but at 3200 or higher the a7iii is clearly better.

Why do you keep doing this to me!? LR Dual Motor AWD?

SR+

The white one is our LR one kind of pictured in the back. As a compliment to that one the SR+ was a perfect companion to going to an all electric family.

Do it!! :)

As per @yaxomoxay's recommendation, a Kindle Paperwhite. It's $30, secondhand, and lacks the waterproofing that the 4th gen Paperwhite has. Looks like I'll be giving it a good cleaning when it gets here.

I also picked up these little micro-USB silicon inserts; my plan is to pop one of these in and then use the Kindle as if it's waterproof. Worse comes to worse, I'm out $30.
