Chose to pick up at the store, next Friday.
I had already ordered my Apple Watch on keynote day and chose in-store pickup. I was already going there anyway so I just added the phones to the same time window.

I have to work Fridays and having to have someone with their face against the window waiting to sign for a delivery was less desirable than driving about 20 minutes away and seeing the madness that is iPhone day.
I did it once on iPhone 4 launch day. I was one of the first 10 through the door.
Since then it’s been UPS taking the strain.

I line sat the 3G, 4, 5, 5s, 6Plus and 7 Plus.
I've aged a bit with a little less give a dang about having to be the first person through the door to get the phone.

I still want it, I just don't want to sit outside anymore to do it.
It's Texas, you never know what season it's going to be during iPhone season.

The iPhone 4 was my first, so I was up for it. But I don't really want high fives at 7:30 in the morning from shop staff.

UPS have always delivered on launch day for me. But this year I'll be skipping it. Buying a new house kind of feels like more of a priority.

Bought this last week but it was ready to be picked up after work today.
It’s very comfortable through shoulders. Now I’m waiting for their winter wares to arrive.

Maybe I've been living in the tropics too long, but how is that not for winter?

It likely could make it through winter in most places but it’s a frozen zone here and I walk three blocks to my office building. It’s designed for use between 28 to 48 F, which is a nice summers day.

Walk in the US? You must be brave.

Lol, We walk in herds and I wiggle to the middle. Once we got spooked  from a car backfiring and nearly stampeded off a bluff!

I need a new winter coat, but I hate coat shopping. The shops are always too warm to try them on.

Isn’t that true? I’m not much of a shopper for myself. I can usually make a purchase in a just few minutes. A comfortable fit is about my only requirement. Fashion can only do so much to help me. :(

I’m not much of a follower of fashion. I work with people younger than some of my clothes.
The only reason my old coat needs replacing is I was very fat when I bought it. It’s like a tent on me.

I think my last coat is roughly ten years old and could maybe get a few more years out if it...depending on how much I work out or don’t work out.

Then this purchase is a celebration! Congratulations! How cold (and warm) does it get there?

In the UK? Well we topped 30 a few times this summer. About 5 below in winter. Not too bad.

Got two new goodies:

KZ ZSN earphones - Each side has a regular driver and a balanced armature. KZ is a king for cheap but quality earphones. They have some models with 6-8 balanced armatures on each side for ~$50-120, whereas the top brands cost ~$1000.

And then some more RGB ram. I had 16gb but I'm one of those people that keeps every program + 100 tabs open.

I slowly broke the Spigen case on my 6S so I just bought a new one, hopefully I will receive it this week. I also changed the battery and it’s a great improvement.

I’ll either give that iPhone 6S to my mom or buy her Xr & I’ll get in a few month the Pro. I’m waiting for batch 2 & iOS 13.2 before triggering my purchase.

Batch 2? What's the reason?
