w...t...f... $3000 Euro one way... first class or not, I'd expect that price to first be for a return, and 2nd in USD at least, maybe even Canadian $ ha. But $3k Euro... why so much? Last minute flight?
I've been on a British Airways 1st class pod from Atlanta to London and those tickets were $19K, each.
And a 1st American Air from DFW to Italy, and those were $20K each.

I was out of pocket $425 total each flight, airlines miles have given us the ability to take flights that wouldn't even be feasible.

And my wife is extra high maintenance.

Yikes... 20K for a flight, I'll stick with my $1200 KLM return flight to Amsterdam.

My last major purchase was a couple of months ago, when I returned home after several years of working abroad. I needed transport, so I got this, a Honda PCX.

Glyph Thunderbolt 3 Dock:

I have a 4TB OWC Thunderblade V4 already, but decided to purchase another as I found a brand new 1TB model for less then half the RRP online....

I then purchased 5 Samsung 970 Evo Plus NVMe 2TB SSDs.
One for the Glyph Dock (used with Time Machine backups), and the other four for the above Thunderblade drive. Removed the 4 250GB drives that were inside and replaced with 4 2TB drives, which are now in RAID and provide 8TB total. This leaves me with a two Thunderblade drives as my external editing/work drives, one 4TB and one 8TB.

A £3.50 IKEA frame and a £12 cable to give a new lease of life to an old iPad... It's now the highest quality digital photo frame I've ever seen, plus everyone in the family can upload photos on the fly via an iCloud shared album. Successful weekend DIY project!!

What's the cable? Is the frame sold specifically to suit an iPad, or is it just coincidence it fits?

Looks good though, I might have to try something similar - we have a 1st and 2nd gen iPad mini floating around that might work well for this.

Just a coincidence - had to modify the mounting board so that all the screen would show, but otherwise it fit perfectly. The frame is a 18x24cm IKEA RIBBA.

The cable is this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Charging-C...rds=Gaming+cable+iPhone&qid=1580827250&sr=8-4

Gave my brother my MSI GS65 gaming laptop because his gaming setup is pushing 4+ years. Picked this up and came out to $300 using Best Buy rewards and have it connected to my 13-inch MacBook Pro 2018 through an Akito Node TB3 running bootcamp and it's freaking awesome.

What model iPad? Looks like an Air 1 or 2. Could be a good use for my Air2 when I retire it shortly. I've been thinking about keeping it around as a smarthome controller of sorts but this is clever.

Air 1. We have an Air 2 at home but that is still fast enough for us to be used day to day, whereas this Air 1 is struggling even browsing the web now.

I set it up using an app called SoloSlides which you can point at an album in Photos. It's good as it will automatically update whilst the slideshow is running (unlike Apple's Photos app), so new photos just appear without having to do anything. You can still interact with the iPad by pressing hard through the frame, but the less I have to touch it the better!!

Bought myself an Ergodox EZ. I’ll be interested to see how it helps my shoulders after transitioning to a desk/‘normal’ job after 10 years in the Army.

A couple of purchases this month & last.

A Waterfield Designs sling bag as a late birthday gift, that I haven't had a chance to try out.

New headphones from Massdrop/Drop that are open back.

An amp for listening to the headphones at home.

A Baseus usb C hub for my iPad Pro, so I can listen to those headphones with the iPP.

Samyang 35mm F2.8 e-mount lens for my Sony A7III. Tried it out yesterday without updating the firmware, AWB and auto focus has been wonky on this thing, but going to give it another shot today and see if it improves with the updated firmware. Really like how light this lens is.

A couple of 220V AC 50W LED floodlights, to use on a tripod light stand in place of a couple of 8V DC 20W battery units. The battery units work pretty well and are very convenient for quick things, but we increasingly have more accessible power sockets outside around the house/carport/garden, and it's never fun playing "will the lights last until I finish <insert random task > a couple of hours outside the house>"

Sometimes, you can't control the lighting like you usually do. I haven't owned one of these in about twenty years, wish me luck.
